If thats Weeksy messing about again..... If the Devils Advocate 583 is not Weeksy i apologise but if it is then i'll continue. First of all, let me make this cyrstal clear this is only my personal opinion, and i've got absolutely nothing to do with Desmodue, the Management team, i have never raced on the track (just off road) and i'm pretty average at best on track days but...... either put up or shut up, and for fecks sake stop being a big kid and trying to stir things up. You could have entered Desmodue if you so wished but you decided not to, i remember you also had a guest invitation to ride someone elses bike but declined. I think it was you that surfaced with a complaint about a desmodue bike on the board. Whats it got to do with you when you're not involved, or why not go thru the proper channels. As i haven't raced i take my hat to you for that, but i think you have 1 or 1 and a half seasons experience yet talk like that grand master Foggy. Give us a break please. You resigned, why not keep it this way. Rant over, i won't bother to reply or add any further comments and have tried not to be abusive. Again if this is not Weeksy, i apologise most profusely. If other members think i'm well out of order i'll willingly delete this post. I notice that the post that prompted my reply has subsequently been deleted. [Edited on 16-11-2005 by BDG] |
I love this messageboard ....... :P |

Along with all posts by Devils Advocate 583... It must be either playtime...or time for milk and biscuits:bouncy: |

Mmm, biscuits, - jaffa cake anyone?? or maybe a chocolate mint digestive?? mmm  |
yup DA583 is me... and no, i'm not in 'disguise' neither of the other accoutns have permission to post any more... i doubt this one will be long. I'm not going to get into the debate as i've been put in my place.... i just don't think a lot of what goes on in DD is very fair. If you want more information we'll discuss via u2u. p.s. please find where i have EVER on any of my accounts, bigged myself up of given 'Foggy syndrome' or even belittled anyone else out there.... you're simply wrong on that one... i may have only raced for 1 season, but i've been involved in it for 5 years in different ways and am as you can see very opinionated. IMO, rules are there and laid down for lots of reasons, they should not be changed, unless there's a VERY good reason... certinaly not because 'some is a good laugh on a message board' [Edited on 16-11-2005 by DevilsAdvocate583] |

The trouble is that rules are there to make things work ... and if you're trying something a bit different from everyone else ... then you cant just steal what everyone else does. Therefore you have to make some rules up that go in about the right direction,a nd then be prepared to modify them to get them right, and then modify them again if you still get it wrong. Nobody likes *stupid* rules, but ones that can be understood are acceptable (mostly) ! What you need in order to do all this is free and open communication between the people that have to live by the rules and the people who have to 'rule' on the rules. Oh, and a sense of humour - for when things go wrong :D And another thing ... you need a thick skin  And you mustnt bear a grudge :saint: Or take bribes :o or post anonymous posts :P phil |
i've not posted anonymously... my IP is logged to my current workplace... i'm the only DSC contributor who works here... we do not supply IP's to anyone else... TP and Flanks can both verify this. Free and open communication ? Would that be like " a vote to see if the points count at Assen for championship positions ? even though a lot of riders are not planning on going." ? |

Yes you did. We all know that nothing is anonymous on Internet. But by creating the account you're using (you could have came back with W33ksy if you wanted...) and by not signing your post your action was deliberately anonymous. And acting anonymously for that kind of diffamation is not fair. I don't know you mate, but several times when I asked for any help on the message board you were one of the first guys to propose me help. I've always appreciated that. And that's why I can't say what people who don't like you say. But I can't understand why ALL your messages on that message board are written and sent to hurt somebody, break something or to say that a rule is rubbish. Quote:
What the point asking that bl00dy question? Do you really think us racers need you to wonder that kind of things and that we can't present our points of view to the race committee without you throwing some oil on the fire (from the French "jeter de l'huile sur le feu", it means aggravating the situations... just like our Interior ministers when speaking to young people who burn cars to warm their hands in the suburbs  ) ? Or maybe you've got personal problems with people who take decisions in our club, that would explain why you're always against all decision... no? Weeksy, you may be a very nice bloke in the real life, but imho on the message board you're just useless. |

antoine my little french friend; you have hit the proverbial nail on the head. and who said nothing any good ever comes from france ;) |
Oh dear, someone stirred up the Frenchman ... Is this his first fiery post? Get in there Antoine ;) |
dont make it worse.......before we know it there'll be camenbert, garlic cloves and snails flying everywhere! |
**WARNING** Incomplete Stereotype You forgot to add frog's legs  HTH |
Is anyone else sick to death of 'the rules' and their interpretation. As far as I'm concerned I'm racing my bike next year, that's as much thought as I am giving it. If the rules change, are broken, are bent or appear unfair I just don't care anymore, I'm out there racing and that's it. |
wise words......................... |
Love the avatar couchcommando, class:D |

LOL errrrrrr, hmmmm well it is Nottinghamshire  The police come down to the place we use regular, just checking the bikes aren't nicked and asking us to be careful. This is the same place, me on the XL250 ;) ;) http://www.btinternet.com/~tonyhatha...ds/langar1.wmv I make no apology for derailing this thread and being an attention ***** with my video :P |
Even I smiled watching that ;) Good work Tony. |
I always thought that the Super-Mono rules were nice! It's got to have ONE CYLINDER...that's it! Then when there was a possibility that it could become dominated by 2-strokes, it got REALLY complicated; It's got to be a 4-STROKE and have ONE CYLINDER! It was a lovely series for very fragile 75 horse power dumper engines!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: |
I aint racin in desmodue but If I were racin and the likes of domski and other riders who were alowed to race due to the rules being changed, I would just look at them as someone else to beat. I don't know if geoff spencer is racing next year this is just an example. If he was not allowed to defend his championship because of the rules, then in my view it would be a hollow victory for the next champ. A race is a race and you all want to win. Age P.s Any guest rides avalible next year as I think Dom is a crap rider  PPs if there is a ride give us a shout. |
You can have my bike after I get my arse kicked at the first round :P |
i cant be bothered with wading through all the dd posts so can some one explain what the problem is without lenthy rule explanations if possible |
Quote:
Hey ! I heard that :o You havnt learned how to be nice to people and been offered a ride on a 620 in the last half hour have you :saint: |
