I may be going the opposite way. On Tuesday we were told that 8 of us in my department are to be made redundant on Thursday. Don't think I'll be sleeping a lot tonight.:(

I'm glad to say I was not one of the unfortunate ones who were made redundant today.
Management made the excuse of a cut in the budget for next year but with a new director recently moved into the dept. I think it was an excuse for him to make his mark.
It was sad to see colleges go. It was a shock to some but one guy had a job offer yesterday which he was accepting anyway and then got paid to leave today.

Glad that it worked out ok for you colin
