California SB School Have never done a track day, and dont really want to do one till I have had some tuition. Anyone interested in getting a group together to go to School, maybe Almeria, or\if the majority prefer in the UK. Dates to be agreed amongst those interested. Then us newbies can join the rest of you guys without holding you up!! cheers Derek |
In theory I'd be interested. Depends on cash and time. |
The CSS trip to Almeria is already fully booked up so you might need to look at other dates. |

Hi Tony was talking to someone called Kevin, who lives in the Pyrennes, who knows you on Friday night. Small world. Had a look through but couldn't find anything on the board about CSS. But they run a few schools each year, so will get something sorted out. cheers Derek |

Dibble will be on track today I think???? Laguna :D |
derek, we have tried to do a group booking before, and its very difficult. there always seems to be alot of interest but very difficult to actually tie people down due to cost and dates etc. every one i have been on though there has always been a few DCS members to tie up with. fwiw i'm thinking about silverstone 3 or 4 th april |
Silverstone on the stowe circuit.............:barfy: |
Just signed my wife up for it on the 4th April she'll be riding her 748 for the first time on a track so I'll be there with camera and tools. |

yeah forgot you were a riding god;) no i haven't done it and its not meant to be the best but to be honest a corner is a corner and im sure i can gain plenty from it. take it from me if you have riden cadwell woodland, the phrase mickey mouse takes on a whole new meaning. |

I agree with Dickie, the CSS is not a track day so there's no need to go to a wide open, fast, flowing circuit. It's about cornering, so you want a circuit that's got corners and plenty of 'em. Doesn't even matter if the circuit is small, if you see the same corner over and over again with only a minute or so in between tries at it, you can practise your techniques on a corner that's not going to surprise you. That's why Rockingham makes a good teaching circuit but isn't very satisfying to ride a trackday on. |
OK, I have been chatting with a couple of mates who have jap bikes. Will prolly just book up for CSS with them for April at Silverstone, then if funds and time allow have a look at CSS in Almeria in October. Carbon 749, will give you a shout before I book to see if you want to join us. Anyone else most welcome. Cheers Derek |
I should be at Silverstone on the 3rd of April (if everything works out) If so, I'll see you there :) |
There are a few of us on the Easter CSS school at Almeria-looking forward to it, 3 of the clubs trackday instructors are CSS instructors also. DSC trackdays-always good value.;) John |
So how much is it now for the Silverstone one on 3/4? [Edited on 17-12-2005 by webbyc] |
The cost of 3rd\4th April at Silverstone Stowe is £299 per day. If you can get a group of 10 or more booking at the same time there is a discount available. Please email Donna@superbikeschool.co.uk for more info. |

As far as being a riding God well..........But in my humble class 1 experience i would say a corner is not just a corner! |

but in terms of what you need to understand and do in a corner the same applies for any corner surely. be it paddock hill, charlies, stowe, or your favourite bend on your local road. turn in, speed, positioning, visual skills etc are all constant. |
Stowe is an excellent circuit for practising the CSS drills. In fact, I go so far as to suggest, that the more "exciting" circuits are inappropriate for practicing drills due to the multitude of distractions. It's also anti-clockwise which mixes things up for you. |

Well again in my humble opinion.....you can seperate track and road for a start. |
yeah furry muff. but im really talking track here anyway. looking forward to being on track with you sometime, dont think we've ever been out in the same session have we? |
