Ill send you a bucketfull down charlotte! Butch |
Snow in't Pennines but only light with clear skies. Too much salt on roads to even think of taking anything other than enduro bike out across t'moors. |
We've got a dusting of the white stuff up here. CK..................... take the monnie out when you get a bit, leave Al at home and you'll get another really interesting ride  |
Quote:
Nelly - please take mind out of gutter (again!):P tad chilly for biking methinks, am off to wield chainsaw instead:devil: |
Loads of snow here - another meter fell over the weekend, but, it is very cold (-18C last night in the Lower Engadine) chilly skiing for the next couple of weeks at least. The Duc is into its second month of hibernation and purring gently on it Optimate. Only the clinically insane or those under the influence of very powerful illegal substances would ride their bikes out here at this time of year. Even Santa uses 4x4 hoofed drive - 16 trotter drive as Del Boy would say. Have a merry holiday everyone. |
its a best quite parky down here in sunny wiltshire, but its just as cold inside as we ran out of heating oil yesterday !! |
It's snowing in Twickenham .. but not settling :( |
Intermittent snow showers here outside Henley  |
Woke up to a light dusting of snow just north of Derby. Too cold to go out and do much, not enough snow to go and have a snow ball fight :( UPDATE - Noon and started snowing proper, large flakes and settling very quickly. [Edited on 27-12-2005 by Carbon749] |
Intermittent snow showers here in Oxford, with bright spells of sunshine in between |
A light dusting outside the window but more in winter park Colorado so a weeks intensive training for DD coming up  Note to self. (stop eating you fat *******) :eureka: |
About 1-2 inches when I woke up this morning, so I took my new camera for a walk round the nature reserve. 8.3megapixels, 5frames/second, SLR,-me, an equipment junky?-how dare you sir.:lol::lol: John |
Just took the little RGV SP out for a spin to chester, and while the roads were a bit slippery with all the salt and cak it was really great fun. Strokers love this cold air esp the ram air intake on this little VJ23, took the liberty of doing a plug chop on the back straight by maxtons and it looks just right, perhaps be a tad rich for summer but better safe than sorry. Much rather be riding the little lightweight 250 in this as while slippery and wearing BT090's you can feel what the bikes doing much better than my 916 and while not going to set the world alight up top the frantic power band and gear changing is great fun and keeps you sharp and on your toes. Also you cant beat the smell of castrol TTS on a stroker. Best go clean it now before it turns to powder in front of my eyes :( |
I envy you the ride on the stroker, the Tz is about to come into my workshop/kitchen to be rebuilt-it's in big bits at the moment. Correction it will now wait until tomorrow since it's snowing hard with BIG flakes currently-it was light and then 2 minutes later it is VERY dark............ John |
hasnt snowed in Glasgow yet..... /ian |
Yeah,we had an inch or two yesterday morning. It had all but disapeared by lunchtime tho. Snowed again yesterday evening and is doing so again as I type this. Miight go for a wander and take some piccies later. |
had a flurry lasting all of 3 mins yesterday morning:o still only got frost decorating the hedge & fences round the garden today:( oh - big thanks to Paul (#39) NBs & Psychlist - among other non-DSC mates too, for helping us clear some paddocks at the stables yesterday in the cold - very much appreciated chaps:cool: C |
Heavy snow here in the north east this morning. There's nothing moving on my road, and it's as white as a white thing as far as the eye can see - with flakes still falling. Blimey! And I've got driving lessons today! (Ha! Skid control methinks..!) [Edited on 28-12-2005 by weeveetwin] |
That's the same in st Leonards, had about 4/5 inches of this stuff in two days, supposed to be back at work in London today but no trains, what a pity;) |
Cracks me up how a little snow and the country grinds to a halt, we were sitting in -22C and 36+ hours of constant snow falls out in France two weeks ago and it was business as usual for them |
Just a little here at the moment. Just took the dogs out and its COLD! Have just spent all morning sat in front of the stove though. Am burning logs at an incredible rate, Only a matter of time before Sting and his mate with the funny lips turns up to complain. :D |
