You know, it\'s almost a shame that I am going to... Race/rape this.... It's so nice and clean but....... ![]() |
One good crash should sort that problem :o |
Oh ye of little faith! :( Mind you I did crash twice last year so, perhaps it's a case of "ye of great faith"? :borg: |
Mine looked just like that once!:( I've crashed both the 583 and 620 SS and can confirm they crash very nicely! Have fun with the setup. Ali |
Ali, I'm not racing them in Minitwins this year due to certain restrictions as discussed elsewhere. Instead I'm gonna have the odd play in SoT with various clubs to keep my hand in. I'll be massively outclassed in the horsepower stakes but, so what. It'll be fun. :burn: |
Oooooohhh, she's an 800! Sorry, didn't pick up on earlier threads..... A few of us had a play in SOT last year and got some reasonable finishes out of 51bhp, so I'm sure you'll do ok with 80(?), and you'll be 50x as stylish as an RSVR! |
Oh yes. I have two 800's all equipped for MRO Minitwins. I was on an SV last year in the same series but, for this elected to go the 800 route. Sadly, the rules intervened for me so, that's now out. At the moment both bikes are putting out 77bhp at the rear wheel with std pipes and filter on. I've found a very useful little tweak that lifts the power nicely in the midrange from 60bhp at 6k rpm to 65bhp at 6k rpm. :bouncy: I've also managed to move peak power down from 8900rpm to 8200rpm. Lovely. Now I just need to fit the race pipes, filter and possibly an FIM ecu...I reckon 85bhp might be within reach without too much effort here...we shall see. I get free dyno time which, allows me to play to my heart's content. [Edited on 3-1-2006 by twpd] [Edited on 3-1-2006 by twpd] |
...and over 50lbft of torque at 6500rpm. |
Hi, Are you going to do a few meetings with NG next year? |
Nice one twpd! All being well, I might see you on the occasional SOT gird. You being up north as well, are you going to race with NEMCRC (mainly Croft) or Derby-Phoenix (lots of northern tracks) at all? |

I might get out with one or two this year - probably Pembrey as I like it and know it well. I've decided to completely revise what I am doing, spend this year doing development on the bikes, have some fun and then after that.....who knows. It's taken the pressure off me as I need to spend time finding a new job first cos my contract is up come May time. |

I'm hoping to do both Felix - just playing around. I don't intend to do a full championship. Weren't you at Croft last year with DP? I was in the Thunderbikes on the SV. |
Yes, I was, and am planning on doing so again this year. But, as you it seems, this year will be a "teething year" for me as well. Keep me posted on your race schedule and I'll pop in for a cuppa. |
Even better - feel free to pop round for a beer. Where in North Yorks are you? |
Thats crying out for a set of ti hi levels nige...:D;) |
I know it is mate....yours in particular, eh? ;) I'd love to.......what was the sponsorship deal again? Remind me  I'm thinking of getting a one-off underseat system made for its "crashproofness" but, them Ti pipes would look lovely. The other bike has carbon: ![]() |
Hi, If you like Pembrey you will see from Kev (Skidlids) post we are there testing at the end of Feb and then our first meeting is there at the end of March, if you do either come and look me up, there's always a fresh brew available in our caravan! Look out for Red/White & Black Ducati No. 172 and our race van is a Blue LDV with Century 2000 on the side. |
