Looking good - I wonder if that exhaust will be quiet enough for CC though?

Tim

Scooter916 08-Jan-2006 16:49

i like it

have you got 996 brakes on it. do you really think it needs them stoppers

Brakes....HMM yes and no, i like em others dont, Personal choice i suppose, i would rather use 50% of each disc than 100% of a single setup, There is always something in reserve then.
Clox mount, The ally bit was from www.anrperformance.co.uk
The carbon mount thingie i made.
but what about them carbon fibre clipons, pure sex
:sing:

Dominic Clegg 08-Jan-2006 23:20

if you use 100% of them breaks you flip the bike

Scooter916 08-Jan-2006 23:28

Maybe, But to put it another way, which setup will fade first.......

skidlids 08-Jan-2006 23:39

i'm with you Glyn on the brake setup and hey you've raced Supermono's before so go with what your experience tells ya.
Looking very good, mine is still untouched since its return from the last round at Cadwell

Dominic Clegg 08-Jan-2006 23:41

i used mine all day and i really mean all day in velencia and only at the end of the day did my breakes fade (doy did i crap myself when it happend and went into the kitty litter)so im sure my system will be okay with high temp, break oil (i hope). does your system add a lot of wieght?

twin breaks do look good through

Jon 08-Jan-2006 23:43

Hey Scoot you going to have some heat resistant material to protect your bum then;)

Griff 64 08-Jan-2006 23:48

Looking good Glynn.Isee from your body bits and bobs you have on e-bay tonight most of your bike is bought of there:lol:.Great idea and some good links.

Notice you have put your rear brake cylinder onto the side of the engine like on the efi bikes. Is that of a 916 as well and did it cause you any problems doing it

Looks like some serious laquer on that frame and wheels to

Nothing wrong with those brakes that a 200kg weight on the pillion seat wouldn't have cured!!!

Twin P34's are waaaaaaaaay too much - sneeze and you flip it!!

My perfect set-up now would be twin discs with standard calipers.

I also used single disc and P34 caliper and that just fried the fluid and filled my pants!!

Now where have I seen that before, oh yes my own bike all last year, but in my case there is a adapter plate to bring the rear mastercylinder futher rearwards so I can reach the brake pedal from the footpegs with my ickle size 7s. all that effort and I didn't use it once last year, the 600SS has just the right amount of engine braking for me.

Scooter916 09-Jan-2006 10:00

Kev, I needed it, I was running a slippeer clutch...... Well Kind of, It was slipping anyways...
Suppose I could do away with it now i have a new clutch in there.:frog:

Luckily Phil it came with the bike, Otherwise I would find it hard to spend that sort of money on a rear shock when the std is probably better than I am....LOL
