Poor old CK looks to be in for a hard time!

So poor old Charlie Kennedy, leader of the Social Dumbocrats is looking likely to be deposed over his liking for a drop of sherbet. Just as well the knives didn’t come out for a certain Mr. Churchill who also liked a tipple, during WW2 or our kids could well be singing “Deutschland Uber Alles” at school assembly.

Ironically only weeks ago our Prime Monster, Mr. Tony B. Liar got clean away with giving away best part of £2 billion of our money by allowing the EU to crush him into reducing our EU rebate while offering nothing to us in return. That after he stated categorically in the run up to the last election that our rebate was sacrosanct and NOT under any circumstance open to any manipulation.

Wonder how long it will be before we get the Euro as our unit of currency without any of the democratic process promised prior to its adoption ?

You can see why the guy (Mr. Liar) wears such a pained expression at times when appearing in public; the scorch marks up his spineless back from his regularly self igniting underpants must be excruciatingly painful !!
:lol::D

Does anyone have a good word to say about Blair, apart from Cherie?

Who the hell voted for him last time, nobody ever admits to it, or defends him.

For the record, he wasn't on my Xmas card list.

AK 09-Jan-2006 12:57

democracy - dont you just love the attempts at it eh?:rolleye:

Would that be the same Cherie who selflessy gave her time to certain charities in the USA ? Whoops I'm forgetting that she claimed the lions share of the money raised as "personal expenses"

They make a perfect pair of cynical self serving ars*holes !!!

I wasn't on your Christmas card list either! :P

andyb 09-Jan-2006 13:28

Whats the alternative then?

I think the everyday, dare i say ordinary person, sees so much that is obviously wrong, what can you do?

Last week Northampton had a visit fron HRH charles........he was giving his "blessing" to a building site at a place called Upton Grange.

Anyone in their right mind driving past there would look and say what a cocking mess! With Houses made of cardboard crammed into a little space, no gardens no garages, roads the width of a single lane.........

but worse, itll be the ghetto in a few years time with little alleyways and rat runs.............

Its all Prescott and his PPG3 doing!:flame:

I have the same high regard for you as the Blairs

It was in the last van you borrowed, didn't you take it.

All the above are complete lies and i couldn't be bothered.

I personally know of at least three women who voted for B. Lair because out of all the candidates - he had the best haircut.

WRT CK going - looks like all the libs are stood round kicking their feet in the ground and looking down at the dust. No-one wants to take control other than the pensionable Cameroon.

Is Roger Milla (the ex cameroonian centre forward) in the Lib Dems now ?? :puzzled:

Does anyone else get the impression taht the lib dems are running the party from a discarded monty python film script.

CK: "I do not have a drink problem"
ALL: " Sack him, sack him. Burn the witch"
CK: "OK, I do have a drink problem, so I'll resign to my garden to sow my seeds across the land like a mad gardener"
Exeunt CK
Enter Old man in coconut marshmallow outfit.
ALL: "Praise him, praise him. He is the Messiah and we shall call him Macaroon"

Think you need to getter the water board round Alan, there must be something in the water....

Shaun, I used royal mail for your Xmas card, I did want to use a Mcr based courier firm, but I couldn't understand a word the boss said ;)

adnydrum 09-Jan-2006 14:30

Here's something else to thank Emperor Amoeba for : <spits in dirt>

http://www.publications.parliament.u...51129-04_head0

It is the transcript of the Lords debate on the government's proposals under the Road Safety Bill to give the state powers to require the surrender of old driving licenses should a new format be introduced. During the Report Stage of the bill on 29th November, the Lords removed this power from the bill, thankfully spotting the government's intentions of forcing drivers to register for an ID card. The Road Safety Bill will get its 3rd Reading in the Lords on 10th January, after which it will go back to the House of Commons where MPs will to accept or reject the Lord's amendments.

Read it, and if you're - quite rightly - worried, check out http://mps.no2id.net/ where you can lobby MP's, Lord's members etc. This is no joke - DO IT TODAY. The entire thrust of the ID card argument is flawed. Just as Gatso's are nothing to do with road safety, the ID Card bill is nothing to do with national OR personal security.....

Thats the point, not many people did actually vote for him.
If you look the voter turnout, approx three quarters of the people eligible to vote in this country did not vote for Blair.

But it's great that they got the new laws through parliament to make any offence arrestable these days! Just think, you could drop an apple core and be arrested for littering, taken down the station for a quick fall down the steps and then have a DNA sample taken and put on the national register for the rest of your life... but then again, the amend also made it lawful for the police to take DNA samples and fingerprints covertly for "intelligence gathering", so you might be on there already!

Isn't it interesting in CKs case that his team were all for him until his position became untenable and then they turned on him like a bunch of bloodthirsty curs. Seen it happen time and time again ....

Depends on how untenable you think it is to like a drink I suppose. Always plenty of people waiting in the wings to do things better but when the chance actually presents itself they often vanish like a puff of smoke..........:D:D

round 3...............

Henners 10-Jan-2006 18:46

Sorry Charlotte :)

I don't believe that alcohol was the issue with Charles Kennedy, he lost the trust of his management team and they forced him out because they feared what the membership would do if they didn't. When confidence in the man vanishes then the best thing to do is resign, which he did.

andyb 10-Jan-2006 19:02

I think the drink thing was a little old reason theyve had sitting on the side for a while..........

Theyve seen the tories gain in the popularity stakes by having a shake up ........so want the same. Roll out the old reason and away ya go!

AK 10-Jan-2006 20:05

first time a politcs thread has had this many views.... wonder if its to do with my initials in the title perchance?:rolleye:
