I am thinking of buying a VENTURA luggage system for my R as I am thinking of doing a European trip this year.
Are they the best for lugging stuff on a Monoposto ?
Are there other companies that do the same sort of thing but cheaper, though cheaper isnt always BEST ;)

Is this a GOOD price or does anyone know of a better price somewhere ?

Hi Rick, I am paying one off at the minute at Heine Gericke. The frame, rack and bag is costing me about £200.

Ive read tests on them and they suppose to be really good. I to have an 996 R, so i believe its the best of the bunch. The price you have been quoted is much of a muchness, same as mine after you have paid shipping costs. Go for it.

Rick, if I remember correctly you get a DSC discount by buying from Motohaus I think? Do a search on here and the details are somewhere. I have not got a rack for my 996r yet but I had one on my 996s and its a good system. Pull up at the end of a days ride undoe 2 clips and your in the hotel getting the best room while your mates are messing around with their luggage. I use a Ventura on my Multistrada and have the 45 litre pack (spada 4 i think) and I have found it big enough for 10 days in France etc. You can buy another pack and zip them together if you need more capacity.

Respectfully your moaning about £20 getting it shipped to Sweden. FFS thats only about £12 more than you'd pay to get it shipped in the UK, get real man. It will allow you to do what you want, isn't that worth £12.
