Halford? I don't remember where I got mine... Surely Halford or Homebase, can't help more.

Last season we could rent them for £10 for the whole meeting but you had to leave either £50 cash or a credit card as a deposit.

tansponders : so you lot rent them from new era then. are they going to be doing that again this year?

Yes! Although you may find them a little low in the standard position.

Ebay is your friend...

Extinguisher 1
Extinguisher 2
Extinguisher 3

You could also try, Halfrauds, Machine Mart, Screwfix Direct etc etc

I've used a camping roll mat in the past. Ebay again perhaps? or Millets etc. £3 for enough foam to make 6 seat units.

You can hire them from New Era on the day. £50 deposit and £10 fee (I think). You get the £50 back at the end of the day when you take the transponder back - obviously.

Look at that, I've actually been helpful and not taking the pi$$.

:D

New transponders are about £200.

Even second hand ones fetch top money, as there is such a demand for them.

Dominic Clegg 14-Jan-2006 18:32

ebay cool

camping mat very good

thank you

domski 14-Jan-2006 18:35

Good thing with the camping mat is that you can build up layers if you need to, and also make a bump pad on the back of the seat to hold you forwards in the seat - or not.

Dominic Clegg 14-Jan-2006 18:37

you know cutting up a camping mat is one of the best ideas iv had so far from this web thing site

domski 14-Jan-2006 18:41

Oh shucks!!

Sorry mate it just slipped out, i don't think anyone noticed.

That Dom said I needed it for my sore ass to sit on.
It's funny that he seems to need multiple layers of foam for his, Christ knows what he's been doing for extra cash.

Anyway he thought better of it and removed the post. I saw though it so now I will have to kill him, shame really i sort of started to like him in a funny kind of way

I thought all DD racers were shirt lifting up hill gardeners and out there

:D

Only coz I thought I was pushing the boundaries of good taste and decency, that and the fact that it's probably not good practice to insult clients
