Rear Shock - Will a \'99 583 fit a \'05 620ie? I have a Nitron race shock fitted in a 1999 M600, will it fit in to a 2005 620ie Monster? :( |
This was to fit a loop arm susp - and will have a remote reservoir? Dom - as long as the pre-load length is the same, I would think so. AK:) |
If its about 305mm it may |
Thanks guys, I better ask Louigi to get his ruler out :o |

I hope so or it will have tobe the one off my pogo stick.:) |
Go and measure yours then. Sheesh, do I have to do everything??? Also, whilst your other bike is in bits, how long is that shock? Throw me a fricking bone  :D |
The ohlins off the 916 is 310 but i don't think it will fit. |
If you look on the ohlins website you can get all the shock dimensions. The shock-mountings are different for the 2 different monster swingarms too. It lists 305mm for 620 with an eye each end 330mm for 600 with an eye at the top and a fork at the bottom |
Bugger!! |
and a 916/996/998 Ohlins DU-143 is 305mm with a 71mm stroke |

I love it when you talk technical  Hmm - I wonder if you can easily fit different ends to ohlins ? I need a nice 330mm shock for the SS  |

So one of these would fit then? I don't get my hands dirty, that's why I have 'technicians' |

Richard at Harris performance will modify Ohlins shocks, so you could get a fork end changed for e rod end or vice-versa. Also longer or shorter damper rods and be fittted. Alternatively shocks which alread have a ride height adjuster fitted could no doubt have a extension bit added (bit like the ones we had for DT175MX's and similar principle to the jack up adapters for early monsters) |
