some of you will remember the threads b4 about a bike lift - the one in the pic is one from clarke and takes 400kg - i reckon it seems really big and stable - lets see how long it lasts but so far very pleased

the fzr on the bench is my £300 'trackbike' !!!

roll on spring!

dickieducati 18-Jan-2006 14:40

beginning to get a bit fed up of seeing people's massive garages full of bikes. :P

looks really nice though, will be great when you have finished painting the garage floor grey.

dickie its concrete with carpet at the end

keep think of garage paint but cant be fussed with the hassle of moving everything

MARTIN H 18-Jan-2006 14:48

Dont know what it is but I love looking at pics of peoples garages? Is it some form of voyeurism? Its looking good loverobot, are you the guy in Guiseley?

loverobot 18-Jan-2006 14:50

yes
i agree i am fascinated by other peoples garages as well !

should have took a pic last week

for 5 months has been chock full of massive boxes and crap so couldnt get to any of the bikes / tools etc

it is weird how good getting it back has made me feel

i must be pretty sad i reckon lol

bliss

Funny that, I have a good friend of mine that has moved to Guisely about 12 months ago...lives on the new houses just next to Harry Ramsdons...opposite the pub (the name of which escapes me).

I'll keep an eye out for a 748 next time I'm up there !

loverobot 18-Jan-2006 14:55

i know where you mean - guiseley is pretty big though tbh - is ideal though in the sense that we are lucky to be right on the edge of lots of superb roads in the dales

Harv748 18-Jan-2006 14:57

I know what you mean...everytime I visit I find myself thinking I should come up on the bike next time.

loverobot 18-Jan-2006 15:10

you should! the roads up into the dales into hawes and then into the southern lakes / howgills are are rreally fantastic

if you do come up give me a shout if you fancy a rideout

loverobot 18-Jan-2006 15:19

just waiting for my membership to come through - i often am in the lakes so will be good to see if i can raid it with you all!

loverobot 18-Jan-2006 15:45

Garage..? Thats a bloody warehouse isnt it..??!!!!!!

Nat

loverobot 18-Jan-2006 19:59

you like the dustpan and brush eh?! it is totally foooked so you clearly have a good eye sir!

warehouse - i wish - the car sleeps in there as well so not that much room and not enough for more toys - would love to add a couple more 2 wheeled machines if i had the room and the ability to talk my wife round

one of my fzr's has already been banished....

MARTIN H 19-Jan-2006 01:04

Aaah Harry Ramsdens! Spent many an evening sat out front with a bag of chips! My mate used to live on Carlton Lane. I still get up there once a month or so with my business. Used to spend a lot of time in the Mallard in Ilkley till recently.

Duke2BSteve 19-Jan-2006 01:06

Makes my garage feel like a Homebase put up shed....

3 bikes in one garage, i can just about get mine in with the daughters barbie bike:rolleye:

djb 19-Jan-2006 01:10

You got a barbie bike, lucky bleeder. Oh, it's red............:D

loverobot 19-Jan-2006 08:50

i lurve harrys - bit of a family institution when returning from the dales - i can never resist the drive / ride past!

Duke2BSteve 20-Jan-2006 01:59

yeah the barbie is alright as standard... but can't find the websites that offer the upgrades, have tried but ohlins don't do barbie bike upgrades..:(

ziggi 20-Jan-2006 12:21

I kid you not - there are some serious Ducati workshops that are smaller than that ! You are one lucky guy.

loverobot 20-Jan-2006 12:37

believe me i know i am lucky - it was one of the main reasons i wanted the house because i wanted to set up a workshop and still have space for bikes and my car

i am no great mechanic though ! i am learning slowly but surely and am currently assaulting the fzr which is fairly easy to work on it seems
