Helmet cam footage...Fun in the mud

Taken at the weekend with my new set-up.

The quality is not all that as it has had to be compressed a little for hosting.

BEST WATCHED IN THE 320 WINDOW! (option under the viewing area)

Hopefully when I get to grips with the hosting side of things the quality will improve.

Cheers...you'll be surpised at the number of routes around that are 100% legal...recently I went on a trip with my mate in the vid, and we travelled over 250 miles in two days, with less than a 1/4 of that on tarmac...the rest was via legal Byways etc.

Don't be put off mate...get yourself an Ordinace survey (explorer) map, which will show everything you need, and get out there:roll:

Great stuff Harv.

The vid kept buffering and showing in segments, is that the way it is or as is more likely the case just my PC?

Not all the OS maps are correct as per the definative maps of rights of way as held at respective County Halls, and with the forthcoming NERC bill changing status of lanes. (fffing govt!)

I took my KTM 950 off road this weekend for the first time, surprisingly good considering its size, but i did pick the easier stuff

weeian 23-Jan-2006 13:45

Superb Harv, always wanted to give it a go.

/ian

The clip should be Ok Shaun once buffered on your machine...it just takes a few moments to getthere first time around. Just tried it on my other machine (MAC) and it was fine.

Glad to hear your taking the KTM off road...it would be fine for 80% of the stuff we do on a weekend. Not sure how long the plastics would last though!

When the penny finally dropped, and I got it working, it suddenly dawn on me how sometimes you just can't see the wood for the trees!

ALL good now though...roll on the summer TD's

bradders 23-Jan-2006 15:29

give me a reason to keep you behind me now then ;)

Brogins 23-Jan-2006 17:01

harv, we need to test it on a proper track with jumps...
I can be the tester...!!! or/and you can have a shot with mine no problem.. as soon Z racing on the m40 is with less mud, we test it there!

I'd love to have a go on a proper Xrosser like your honda...I'll think you'll fid the DR a bit of a heavy lump though by comparison!!

Where abouts do you mean near the M40?

Let me know when your going next!

Brogins 24-Jan-2006 01:07

Ok man no problem... I also told Steve to try and have a go.. One Sat or sun in February!

The place is near HighWeycombe(?) - It is just on the side of the M40..is a nice close track, indoor style.. last time I was there was totally frozen..too dangerous! The only problem could be ask the owner permission.. and probably you have prior to sign some paper - if you kill yourself the track owner is not responsible - as usual..!!

If not.. there is anothe place not too far, M4 Junction 12 and 6/8 miles off it.. track in the woods with a couple of nice rollercoasters and a big air jump at the end of one of it to do in 4th gear pinned with a 450.... nice...

Your choice!
Ciao
