My spelling is totally carp.

It's always easier after the 50th time it's been posted on the site...

i find spelling impossible
most of the time i just take my best guess at it
the problem is that there is no logic to it

theres three different ways to spell witch i never know witch to go for?

then theres words that are just spelt wrong
front for example, if you break it down should be

run
runt
frunt !!

no wonder its one of the hardest to learn

Yes spelling is important when you are just learning to read...You cannot do that exercise until you are a fluent reader. Ask any 5 or 6 year old to do what you just did and their effort of de-coding and looking for context would be too difficult!
