cheers adrian hopefully try them out in anger at llandlow and see how they really perform. |
Now THAT is a nice bike...:o:cool: |
why thank you young man the previous owner looked after well then foolishly sold it to me. ha ha :sing::sing: not quite as nice as a sp3 though is it harv ?? |
Interested to hear your continued comments on feel / fade / quality deej. Like others on the board I was concerned about lack of apparent info from the seller / manufacturer - I've been holding out hoping to find some nice Braking / Galfer wavies but the prices seem to end up not far from new on FleaBay. Look good though - £140 from memory ??? F |
I was interested in buying some of them but, was put off by some of his feedback. Good to hear you are satisfied. I wanted them for racing my 800ss so, I'll hang fire for your feedback! ;) Besides - I've managed to pick up some fully floating cast iron brembos for that authentic rattle :D |
£140 is correct, i thought sod it yu only live once. he answered the questions better than what my local dealer could do so i went with them. as long as they last its 140 quid well spent, if they dont its tough ... will hopefully give you a update on sunday |
Blimey....couldnt resist.....he was selling a final two sets with a start of £125 so I jumped in and managed to get a pair for that price! Now someone on here is selling a set of Iron full floaters - typical :lol::lol: F |
frank the wavys are full floating anyway, my mate at the local dealers informed me off it today, i thought they were semi floating but hes sure their full floating you wont be dissapointed in them, the initial bite on them is awesome dave |

Just put a set of these on my bike. They seem really good to me.;) They are indeed fully floating and Deej is right. The bite these things have is really good. Much better than my old semi floating Brembo discs. |
dc i hear you were in my neck of the woods and didnt u2u me, how rude we went to jaspers on sunday and then got the ferry back to torpoint and then luckily i had a empty road all the way to trerulefoot, loved every minute of it !! see ya soon dc ??? back to the brakes, i used them in anger on sunday and they did a very good job, initial bite is good and i cant say i noticed any brake fade and the quality of them is quite good. look the buisness too |

Hello mate, Yep I was in your neck of the woods but only got my bike back in one piece on the last day. So only a few test rides in my workshop overalls and an old 15 year pee pot for a lid.:D How tasteful!!!;) Bikes still down in cornwall at my fathers workshop as I havent finished with it yet. Still got some more mods to work on but I am back in London now. Ttrerulefoot Road, what bliss. Thats a good old run from Torpoint. I remember it well. I always try to test it out when I down in the summer. Roll on the summer...................Laterz. DC.;) |

I have been slightly tempted by these too. Anyway probably an idiot question, but whats the differnece between semi floating and fully floating, i assumed the originals were fully floating so these ones may not fit, but i guess i am wrong now :puzzled: Can someone enlighten me to the difference? |
I needed to ask too... Quote:
Frank |
ah good so im not the only fik one here  Thanks Stu |
Mine finally arrived today - impressive quality but I'm a bit surprised by just how much movement there is of the disc on the spider. Also - the gap between the two isnt equidistant all the way around. Still, I'm looking forward to fitting them - eventually !!! F |
Sideways movement is good, rotational movement is bad and is also an MOT fail i think. |
