I'd have a glass of the red stuff, but am off out in a min - so I'll take a raincheck for a good bottle later:D

Welcome - and do complete your location, so we know where to hide from the blaze of yellow :P

Carbon749 25-Jan-2006 20:08

Hi a Baloo.

Mines a bud and a pair of sun glasses to tone down the yellow glare

Fordie 25-Jan-2006 20:58

Pretty dam cool if you ask me, nothing better than to match your leathers with the bike . Ill have a Pint of Best while welcoming you to the DSC site . 4D

philthy 25-Jan-2006 21:01

Shouldn't there be a seperate forum for yellow bikes?

As for yellow leathers AND a yellow bike:o

''Sorry mate ...didn't see you''.....because I was blinded:D

Welcome Baloo

Is this your first ducati?

Thank you I'll have a wine....red of course.

Phil

dickieducati 25-Jan-2006 21:14

welcome, fruit juice for me please. guess you wont be on too many of our rideouts!

yellow matching leathers?

well you already made your first mistake going down the yellow brick road in the first place.;)

but matching leathers look great if you can ride well. come to think of it, it didnt stop me , so just go for it!

madmav 25-Jan-2006 21:32

welcome Sir from the Mad one!!

Pint of Stella please

nice choice mate, but watchout for the wasps in the summer

Stealth 25-Jan-2006 21:42

Welcome, Budvar please - delightfully chilled...

Yellow is a personal statement I guess

Red is an exclusive lifestyle choice

.....but at least you have joined the elite ranks of the Ducatisti

(.............hmmmmmm that made more sense when I thought it, hey ho...)

itexuk 25-Jan-2006 21:47

Hi, Welcome and a Glass of Dry White please.
Yellow will be great with your bike but a Red 749 would have been better:D

philthy 25-Jan-2006 22:05

Don't take any notice of us Baloo ---It's all meant in fun:D:D

me? ride great? Dont think so! Just mildly competent. Not crashed yet, but some would say am not trying hard enough then!

I had noticed this red/yella debate on the board.

Tell me, how can red be "exclusive" when everyone has one! Thats why I went yella.:lol::lol:

Anyway, yes, first duke. Taking me a while to get used to the twin, but enjoying it.

Drinks up!

Real McCoy 25-Jan-2006 22:49

easy now yeller dweller :D

swannymere 25-Jan-2006 23:44

:D Welcome to the madness.Big mistake yellow,at least 10mph off top end,and with matching leathers you'll be the quickest banana in the west:D

749er 26-Jan-2006 13:37

welcome, I have no idea about the leathers, and some might say thats why I too have a yellow bike, but I dont believe it.

Anyone any ideas why 748s seemed to sell more in yellow than 749s? The ratio between red and yellow does not seem so one sided on 748s than 749s

Lily 26-Jan-2006 13:44

simple... the 99* range should be red (or black if you are cool enough), the 74* range should be yellow, with the exception of the 749 as that's just a girl's bike anyway :P

apart from the 749r which is cool, but not in yellow!!

did i mention i used to have a yellow bike... deffo the quickest ;)

webbyc 26-Jan-2006 13:48

Welcome aboard and mine's a pint of merlot please.

Take no notice of the red/yellow debate. I used to have a yellow 749S but have seen the error of my ways and come back from the dark side.

Thanks for the welcome.

Seems the vote from the UK Jury on the leathers was

Cool 4
Not Cool 5
Abstentions 5

Still undecided,

itexuk 30-Jan-2006 21:52

andys 900ss 30-Jan-2006 23:44

Hi Baloo,

I'm for Red too, but yellow is cool.....

As for the matching leathers, good idea! I got matching red, then gone and brought a second blue bike and have to start again.... Black matches anything.

Vodka for me..cheers

Andy

Martinp 31-Jan-2006 01:51

Black leathers go with everything and never date. And always classy.

Coke no ice please.

And welcome to the forum.
