I dunno mate, looks to me like yo need some front brakes as well. Could be a tad embarrassing at the first roundabout!

PS: Is that Rob's motor I see in the background?

dave996 02-Feb-2006 14:27

Until last week we worked for the same company therfore same company cars.

EMPI 02-Feb-2006 14:28

That looks ace! Wish mine even resembled that the now.

Was the frame painted or powder coated?

Im thinking of doing a full stripdown on mine making sure everything is fine after kinda breaking it..

Cheers Harv,
I doubt I'll have the footpegs or brake cap by then:(

Harv748 02-Feb-2006 14:40

I've got some pegs if you want to borrow 'em?

Are they DP, and the gear lever needs to sit between the peg and the hanger?

errrmmmm...no.

Just some standard ones...thought you may have lost yours or hit 'em with a hammer or summut?!?!:P

dave996 02-Feb-2006 14:46

My hammer has been confiscated:(

Original footpegs are now in a box somewhere never to see the light of day again.;)

yeti 02-Feb-2006 14:54

You using race pattern shift or road?

dave996 02-Feb-2006 15:02

Road

yeti 02-Feb-2006 15:07

Could lend you some Ducati original rear sets just to get you mobile

dave996 02-Feb-2006 15:15

Cheers for the offer Yeti, I really appreciate it.
There are quite a few little jobs that need doing on the bike which all take time and money (one of which I don't have a lot off;)) And at the moment I'm umming and arring about getting a radial brake or 4pad calipers so I don't want to put new brake fluid and bleed the system twice, so until the brakes are done it'll stay off the road in a nice warm garage.

yeti 02-Feb-2006 15:30

Sounds fair enough. Would also suggest that if you gonna be mostly using it on the road, I would stick with the P4 calipers (4 pad). I assume the alternative is original equipment radials from later bikes? They are no better. Only time you will see a real imporvment is when you move into race stuff such as this, but I warn you these ain't cheap!

dave996 02-Feb-2006 15:38

Sorry mate I ment radial brake M/C and P4 calipers.
I'm not very good at explaining myself this week:(

I do lurv that front end though, it's very:cool:

Cheers Mate,

Yup I think I'm on the next course which is 3 weeks long:o

I'm sure he'll make up for the drinking before he goes back on call, but when you see him next ask him if he had a hangover after Robs drinks the other week. I had to stop the car just passed Banbury on the M40 to empty my guts:barfy:, I think I had a dodgy bit of toast at breakie:smug:

Duke2BSteve 03-Feb-2006 23:45

Carbon749 05-Apr-2006 21:36

Dave looking good .... plenty of nice touches. May be sticking my neck out here, but, not a lover of the fuel cap .... each to their own. Apart from that, very very nice.
