but was good nice to have the good weather and have a bit of a go. would have been nice not to get held up by the jap 1000's all the time in the corners but there you go.

i may even pop out on the 19th. i think a couple of others are on that one with hottrax but wil leaave it till last minute and see how the weather is.

it felt good. cant really compare too much for now as it was chilly and didnt get a good run. not really comparing apples with apples etc. but happy with it. just myself to sort out now. :)

went in the inters.

should be better in the fast for sure, but we definitely have the corner speed on them into and mid corner then they blast away on the exit.

More rider ability than make and model of bike I reckon ;)

In the olden days of CB500 racing, I had to take avoiding action to stop running into the back of Sean Emmett on his Red Bull Ducati at Oulton (there was a crazy ACU test day with every bike out at once) so it is possible for Dickie on his Monster to corner quicker than even your boy Hego on a R1.

Remember, 125's are the fastest through a corner, but I think the MotoGP bikes are faster over a lap. Just.

yeah those boys with the big powerfull bikes just love to go fast in a straight line....................makes them feel all warm and fuzzy...............

We're talking about corner speed aren't we? Not speed over a complete lap.

Dickie didn't say he was lapping 1000's, just that they held him up mid corner.

We were in inters, but still mostly ACU.
The fast group was all ACU and at one point there were three off'’s in the same session on the same lap. Medical car was driving round picking um up on he's way round. KTM supermoto boy, s were out there punting folks off on to the grass, using them to bounce off on the way past.
Fast group didn’t get a full session in all day; they were like escaped wild animals.
At the briefing the guy pleaded with them to go easy. The first off at Druids on their first lap set the tone for the rest of the day.
In Inters we had ACU boy’s on ZX10’s ****ing flying past and Tossers on late Jap stuff that could only ride in a strait line. I overtook one guy four ****ing times in one lap.

Then he shoulda bought a smaller bike and learn how to ride it rather than a thou to hide his lack of abilty to ride a bike round a corner properly...................:sniff:

Buy a big bike it makes u fell fast in a Straight line..but does little to make u a better rider..!!

And dont go quoting exceptions to the norm...OK...lol

Maybe he doesn't want to ride round on a wheezy little bike and is quite happy feeling monster horsepower down the straights though ;) I know the last time I rode a litre bike on the track it was a bit of a wobbly, intimidated affair, bloody good fun though :)

I couldn't imagine having anything bigger - most women wouldn't let you anywhere near them!

Fancy having an engine that big!

the only reason i said i was being held up by jap 1000's is because they were the bikes that happened to be holding me up. may well have been crap riders too but they were definitely on jap 1000's. dont me wrong i am by no means what so ever a race god, or even a race muppet but i would have been lapping quicker if i had been out there with 30 odd DD bikes.
