What The Ultimate Bacon sandwich, mmmmmmmmmmmh.
 

well guys, when your're out and about on the bike when it's cold and grey, or even hot and sunny for that matter, what is the ultimate bacon sandwich.
Is it toasted with just bacon inside, or something a bit saucier , with a splodge of HP etc inside maybee.
maybee it's just soft white with loads of filling, so many choices.
I prefer just good old danish bacon in a lightly toasted format, with nothing else to spoil that great flavour.
what' s your thought guys on the ultimate bacon sarny, meanwhile I'm off to get the bacon out now.:D:D

On a rideout, down the cafe it's just toasted white or brown bread with bacon and a bit of tomato sauce. And a cup of coffee.

Red source on a bacon sandwich? got to be brown man:o
and brown on your sausage.

You should only have red source on egg.:D

Bacon sarnie.. crusty white bread ("dont be a poof, eat white bread, its nowt ponced about with".... harry enfield quote) lots of bacon, tom sauce. sweet tea, chipped mug with oil thumbprint, 3 in the morning, in the paddock after finishing putting the bike back together the night before the 2nd days racing. MEGA:cool:

White crusty door wedge buttered with an egg........hmmmm bacon aarrggggllllllllllllle

Yep, red sauce. Brown sauce is for hiding cooking errors!

toasted hovis
unsmoked, crispy bacon
A few fried mushrooms (not overcooked)
HP sauce

Indeed it is! Not sure about your choice of sauce though ... Chris is got the right idea, that Worcestershire Tomato sauce is just the thing, I forgot about that.

Getting a bit posh with those mushrooms ;)

With Hovis Extra Thick white sliced. Anchor butter. 6 rashers of SMOKED bacon. 1 egg (drippy yolk) and BROWN sauce.

Throw it on the foreman grill for 2 mins when done to toast the outside slightly

Thats fantastic. Did they have any HP tho?

Amazingly they did! i think they get a lot of UK greedy gits in there.

That’s one hellava pancake Fiver just as well you didn’t have to visit the poo lady on the tv that would’ve freaked her out, I’m older than most of you lot so I have to watch my weight, brown bread, bacon and cheese toasty with Heinz salad cream for me please.

Sorry but I have to have both red and brown sauce on my bacon butties, fried egg (runny) mushrooms and thick doorstop white bread :D

Thick cut, soft white or thick cut granary brown - either are delicious as long as they're thick slices and soft.

Enough Lurpack unsalted butter so that it melts into the bread along with the HP sauce - accept no substitute.

Unsmoked back bacon cooked WITH THE RIND LEFT ON so that the bacon is soft and the rind is crispy.

And THAT'S IT !

None of yer poncy egg or mushrooms, the question was the ultimate BACON sandwich not the ultimate Bacon and Egg or Bacon and Mushroom !!!


Actually - in the last couple of weeks I've just discovered an even better, brekkie sandwich.

Toasted brown bread, Lurpack as previous, Dijon Mustard (the sort with mustard grains in it) and a medium rare sirloin steak sliced up inside it - HEAVEN
