TP Tuning Mark 1

Well, after my trip to Jerez where I couldn't stay on the bike for more than a few minutes without cramping I've been hitting the physio. This guy is really good, the best physio I've had for a long time. I know Phillc is using him for his knee therapy as well.

I can feel the ankle getting stronger and my range of movement is getting better. The shoulder is also getting stronger and I can feel the bone starting to sit back in the joint properly for the first time in two years!!!!!!!

I'm also on the swiss ball working on core strength and I'm starting to feel good. So now I'm wanting to do more and more and I have to keep telling myself to be patient - although I've started skipping and tomorrow I start swimming. I still can't run yet unfortunately, getting there though .. in the next few weeks I reckon.

I want to race NOW! Bring it ON!!!

LET ME SEE YOUR WAR FACE!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!

You don't want to see my war face, it'd scare you too much.

Good news about your progress, but I really don't think you should be getting on a bike until at least November!

Unless you plan on doing an 8hr or 24hr endurance event, this shouldn't slow you down too much ;)

True, it just means that along with my shoulder I won't be playing rugby this season I don't think. I'm working hard though, I'm very keen to get a game.

Good Man TP - just be careful with the skipping, great for training etc. but hopefully youve been told to try and do it on a sprung (eg not solid) floor wherever possible.

Thanks Frank, no sprung floor though so I'm doing it on the grass in the back garden. If you're talking about reducing impact then no worries, it has to be better than all the running I would have been doing in it's place!

I'll be running on grass too when I can start running.

No worries TP, with skipping you tend to be on the balls of your feet (rather than heel striking, as you would when running) - so skipping places different stresses on toes, ankles and calf / shins and sadly even most gyms are solid floors unless they have a fitness studio.

Just want to see ya out there kicking butt - asap :devil::devil:
