If money was no object, what would you have????????? Doesn`t really apply to me as money is an object, and there might be a thread like this somewhere else on the site, but I haven`t seen it. I imagine some of us on here have our dream bikes, but if money was no object, what would you have? Myself I like brutal and querky bikes, that`s why I had the 888,it`s the most brutal looking of all ducati sport bikes IMHO(I don`t go for sexy swoopy bikes ie 9*6/748 as great as they are, they`re just not my taste),and my Multistrada sure was querky:lol: I also like different bikes, that`s why I bought a Ducati, when I got my first Duke all my mates where riding Fireblades,ZX`s and Gixers, now all my mates ride Ducatis!! So what would you have if you could only have one bike and money was no object(let`s just keep to bikes,no cars, helicopters or lea jets please) and see if anyone comes up with the same as me:D PS Dodgy, you can`t play:P |
Mate,me and you spookily like the same things.:D With that in mind, and money no object,it would have to be one of these; |

Actually, that's not strictly true, would prefer to have a Stretta motor in it..... |
Not yet I`m afraid(I think:puzzled: ) All back to standard, went to it,started first touch after 5 months and no optimate, took it to my local dealer cos they said they`d give me a hand selling it,pulls just as strong, but quieter with standard pipes:lol: |

Carbon,I reckon that`s why they cancelled WDW2006,can`t get the V4 ready in time to give to the first buyer...................... |
Er i have one of mine already, but next one has to be a RC45 just to see how it compares. Am sure it will be quicker but i suspect the 30 has the edge in rawness. At the risk of getting shot, i also do actually use my RC30 too, here is a pic from a ride out today. It was worse after following a few wagons throwing mud and allsorts at me, but the following 40 miles of rain and road salt washed off the worst *** ducks and runs for cover *** RobB & Dibble, if you get the chance of one get it bought. not only is it a safe investment, but they are great fun to ride. I have ridden quite a bit of new stuff and still believe that 100 bhp on the road in a good chassis is more than enough and makes sound sense as a road bike. these are just superb fun and the best bit is, no one batts an eyelid at you, a real street sleeper as its just another 400 but it sure shocks a few people as you howl past playing the V4 orchestra. Beg or borrow if you have to, if you dont take to it you can sell it on easily and command your own price to a certain extent too ![]() [Edited on 26-2-2006 by crm250] [Edited on 26-2-2006 by crm250] |
Paul, that would be the dream bike for a lot of people, you`re a lucky man..enjoy |
Sparkin, i know mate and i know how lucky i am. I dont earn vast sums of money, but i save and spend as much as poss on what gives me the most pleasure. I have wanted one for years and after all the NC30's it was the icing on the cake, i had the chance of one and took it. It put me 7k in the red, and still am 2.5k 12 months on but you only live once and it would probably be the only chance in my life to get one and i dont regret it for an instant. I feel quilty rabbiting on about them, but everyone who rides one / mine goes the same way. Its just one of those bikes that on paper is not exactly great, but in reality its superb. more than the sum of its parts, it just seems to work so well. I guess thats why they are so sought after even today. I am a lucky git to have one, but i am paying the price though. 99% of people just couldnt commit to owing one, each to our own i guess |
id have a Tamburini & Every Ducati model ever made in my big Garage. /ian :ninja: |
