well suited with Abba stand Bought myself an Abba stand, it arrived today. After the ordeal of opening the wrapping, I put it into action, well pleased and easy to use. Solid as a rock. If the front wheel has to come out it will be up on the Abba with my crappy front paddock stand lifting the front. I used to sh** myself when the front wheel had to come out, I never trusted the paddock stand. Can not remember where I first saw the Abba recomended but it was on here - Thanks Mark |
Yep, its a good piece of kit, no kind of conventional paddock stand can replicate the secure feeling the Abba gives. If only we could use the Abba front stand to get the front off the floor :puzzled::( |
Khu When is the new beast going to be in Swansea then? bet you can't wait Mark |
Mark, the beast is already here, but hibernating till the salt and crappy cold weather disappear! Can't wait to get out...will definitely pop up and we can go for a long ride (still need to run her in!) :D |
Can i join in as im in the Gwent area. Not that far from Abergavenny. |
No problem Steve, we'll have to arrange something for one sunny weekend. |
Sounds good. Can't wait for the salt to go. Going to get it out a the Vac bag this weekend and make a start on the slipper clutch. |
I'm waiting on mine to be delivered, as soon as its here, I'm gonna make a start too. Might drop you a line if I get stuck (I always do :frog:). |
Can't see it being that bad i hear it's more to do with the stack of plates. Racing you stack them one way and road use stack two steels at the end. But should check all the fitting destructions before i start. |

Its not just about the order of the stack.....its the height that you stack them! gis a shout if your unsure............ |
I've used an Abba stand and a small jack with a block of wood as a buffer under the engine, to swap out the front wheel and forks on my T9. Job done. :burn: |
Daz It was £94.95 inc del and fittings for a 749 from the abba stand web site www.abbastands.co.uk Mark |
