Is this girl appropriately dressed to ride a ducati? Right - now that I have you're attention can I have some help please. :D 62 views on the previous boringly-titled thread and nary a peep. What is the most discreet switchgear that you have seen on a bike? Has to be black, and on a reasonably common bike (pref japanese for availability but others aren't ruled out). Bonus points for piccies. Cash prize for the one that I choose! merci muchly. |
:devil:probably custom bike stuff like Hardley-Ableson etc. |
got to say thats very underhand :lol::lol: even if i could help you i wouldnt now. ;) |
I'm getting bad chi off of this thread too :ninja: |
|
How's this? I will donate £100 sponsorship to the DD rider of the winner's choice. The winner will be decided by me based upon number of suggestions, quality of suggestions, appropriate pictures and general all-round helpfulness. Dickie has ruled himself out, although I doubt he cares considering he runs a bank  |

blimey - I best u2u Tonio, he could really do with that:) |
So how many switches do you want ? Starter, kill, indicators, horn, lights-on, main/dip ... ? Discreet becomes difficult if its all of the above  |
Must have all of the common functions and be significantly smaller than standard SS switchgear. Current front-runner is the stuff on my KTM Duke II but I'm sure there is better out there. |
I think Suzuki used to use a very compact unit on 70's trail bike , that had all the controls on one side, rather than using two sets of switches. A friend of mine used to use them as he had lost his left arm. So he needed everything on the right. I'm sure it was suzuki, but sorry no pics. |
Chi: http://www.peakmoto.com/category.html?UCIDs=1087185 http://www.tejasthumpcycles.com/Part...lectronics.htm http://www.customdynamics.com/loadequalizer.htm and I just lurrrrrve the switch about 3/4 of the way down this link: http://www.steelthundercc.com/wire_harness_kits.html |
I have always found Suzuki switch gere to be very good. I fitted this to my first Ducati, a 750 Sport, and its fitted as standard on my Jota, never had any trouble with it. |
That was low  im with Dickieducati " wouldnt tell you if i new now":P:lol: |
Low, but effective! Current page count for this thread 203 Current page count for the previous one 91 (with a 12 hour headstart) |

What's a switchgear? Sorry Chi, can't understand the topic  |

It is a form of transvestism, males wearing female clothing and vice versa (or so Domski told me):D:P |
Have headlights perm on, take indicators off and just have the small kill switch/starter one. For a horn practice shouting loudly :) |

You promised not to tell everyone!!! Tonio - Switchgear is the buttons and switches on the handlebars. The controls for lights, indicators etc. Chi wants something smaller? and cooler? I'm guessing. :) |
boing! This is a serious offer and CK is the current leader by default. |
I was going to say KTM stuff is pretty small and neat, but you already know that! The switchgear on the 525 was nice. |
okay you lazy bunch. The competition is now closed and CK is the winner. Charlotte, u2u me with bank account details please. |
