Unofficial DD forum

This UNOFFICIAL forum has nothing to do with the Ducati Sporting Club, or any of it's associates.

This forum is for people to chat freely about whatever they want without upsetting sponsors and the like.

ANYONE CAN JOIN THE FORUM.

FOLLOW THIS LINK AND REGISTER

I trust that this is OK with the club as the idea is to keep the arguing away from the DSC forum, but allow riders etc to chat about stuff without worrying about upsetting anyone.

and the fragmentation continues ........................... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NBs996 03-Mar-2006 20:27

Maybe you and Tonio should get your heads together... he's already sorted a Yahoo group forum/chatroom, and it's getting a few people signing up.
Just thinking it's be better to have just one point rather than multiple sattelite groups?

Rattler 03-Mar-2006 20:28

Looks very good - I'm number one member!!! apart from the Webmaster.

I'm sure I'll pop back on here from time to time to see how political broadcasts are going.

Its like moving house!!! ;)

It's not stopping people from posting on here.

It's an EXTRA forum, and people don't have to go there if they don't want.

The trouble is Dibs, some people maon about DD taking over and all the fighting is out of order - but when someone tries to divert the crap flying about - you complain that the conversation is being taken away.

Why would a non member, non racer be so upset if the racers want to have a chat amongst themselves on an unofficial forum?

As the MT keep reminding us - only 10% use this forum, so even less will look at mine.

It's hardly causing a fragmentation.

dickieducati 03-Mar-2006 20:31

good idea dom. im in.

Dibble 03-Mar-2006 20:32

wasn't a dig at you Domski, was a comment based on what was predicted many moons ago is coming to pass .....

Yep, sorry Dibs, I didn't mean to go OTT.

I proved my point by going off on one - I must take more pills!!

domski 04-Mar-2006 02:52

Hey, look at the lack of arguing in here tonight.

I think it's worked a treat - 194 posts, all about nothing and nobody is upset!!

Excellent Dom - thanks for taking this on, it will allow a clear definition between the public aspect of the DesmoDue series and the internal discussions that are only of interest to the riders/teams.

I would recommend that the MT/RC copy and paste any important documentation on both systems (assuming they are relevant) to ensure that everyone has the relevant details. I envisage the DD forum on the main website will become primarily for discussion on the forthcoming events, current rules and regs, results, etc. This new area can be used to thrash out the new ideas, desires, proposals, contacts, best buys etc. etc.

But please remember that the RC can't be expected to continually monitor all the fora available for DD riders, so please use the email address to get 'official' answers to any questions.

I've started to do this, and will continue today (only got it going late yesterday)

Yes, that sounds good. At least any arguing can be kept off the main website.

Well done Dom:cool:

domski 04-Mar-2006 18:07

Yeah, I think we got over 20 riders in there now.

Plus some hangers on, you know how it is

Grib 04-Mar-2006 22:47

Excellent, we were just talking about this a few days ago :) I'm heading over right now...

Tonio600 05-Mar-2006 12:34

Now I definitely feel transparent

domski 05-Mar-2006 23:58

You've got to be so happy that the discussion is happening over there and not here :o:o:o:o
