URGENT: 888SP4S Value verification needed
 

As you know I was punted off the T8SP4S last year. :mad:
I got a letter back home today from the insurance co' saying that they would like verification of the value of the bike.
They have contacted a 'local' dealer who quoted a value a lot less than the HARTEC valuation that was done independently.
HARTEC quoted 17k in good condition, and my SP4S was in excellent condition.
Letter also stated that some dealers had not even heard of the SP4S so if I have any other information could I send it to them. They want to be as fair as possible. :o
I've got 8 weeks to sort it. Needless to say this is going to go global and off to Duc' Bolog'.
John Hackett has got the bike and has helped fantastically, but they obviously want another 2 or 3 valuations to go on.

I know what they are worth and I am up there re these bikes, but of course my word is diddly isn't it.
So guys, contacts, known others that have been sold and how much for, any kept adverts (there was one in MCN last year 20k), anything you can help with please do.

Steve, thanks for the advert, it's the one I was looking for back home. Already sent off.
Incidentally, the bike in the ad' is identical to mine even down to the foot pegs and the two decals on the lower part of the fairing.

Very few sold examples to be founds as of course, they are removed from websites pretty quick...these guys might be of help?

Ains, I just added a link to a Japanese dealer to upnorth, they've got a few nice bits of exotica but no 888SP4S at the mo, might be worth keeping an eye on i though. There's a quick digi shot of the ad from the mag i found it in which had an 851 SP2 and a few other tasty bikes but the site also lists their current stock, it is in Japanese so gimme a shout if you need a hand, I've added an image of what the word Ducati looks like in Japanese anyway and the correct drop down boxes to click :)

But I don't think this is a SPS. Wouldn't it be a Corsa of 1992?

Yeah, it'll be a Corsa 91. Maybe summat like this image below.

But I dunno how you guys found that item though, I've just done a worldwide search with the wording in place and it still wouldn't find it! :puzzled:

I have asked the seller for pictures if they so appear I will post them up, summit odd though that’s awfully cheap for an ex works machine even if such would be available to the public?

And it maybe cheap for such a bike, but still a lot of money for me ;)
If you compare with the Roche Replica that was for sale couple of weeks ago for 21.000 euro's...

Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't find these bikes when I do searches.

Thought you guys would like to know that the insurers spoke to JH on Saturday and gave the go ahead to restore the T8SP4S.
Final report in the offing, but nothing unforseen.
