Nice 1..who is paying for the " appereance fee "..;)

skidlids 08-Mar-2006 17:39

I have Michael Peatfield (aka Rally) down in 583 class, I think the class that he runs in will depend on which engine he gets for his bike or has he already sorted one out.

ali 08-Mar-2006 17:40

Hate to be a spoil sport, but if it's guest riders I'd like to propose a change to the ruling on trophies. I missed on one at Donny (but got the points) and was pretty miffed given how hard I'd had to work for it. If it'd been my only chance at some silverware then I would've been highly miffed, maybe even slighty perturbed....

Seriously, don't take trophies away from people who spend months preparing themselves and their bikes, and have spent their own cash doing it.

Cheers,

Ali

ps: There was a very good write-up in a PB last season where the journo made it towards the front of the pack, as a guest rider in earlystock, and rolled off on the last lap out of respect to those who race at every round.

That is no attitude for a potential riders rep to have, you'll just have to get a shift on and beat the guests won't you !!!:P:P:P:P

Thought we'd decided that there would be no pots for guest riders.

On the contrary. It's essential that the hard-working, handsome, talented 620 riders are rewarded for their hard work.... ;)

Surely a race is a race, if someone beats you they are entitled to the trophy and points simple as that :)

Ah yes but you can't just have riders turn up on bikes that they've had no part in prepping and taking the glory!!!

Just ask Dom and TP !!!!! :o:o:o:o:o

LOL, 4th would be like a dream come true :) if we can't beat journo's then we should be ashamed of ourselves and it's a sign we need to up our game ;)

I'm hoping Luke Brackenbury will get a chance to ride the DUK bike this year, he may not be the fastest Journo but as a Novice last year he did well to Finish 2nd overall in the NG Minitwins championship.

Ridden with him before on the road, he's a good rider. Never saw that NG championship only 3 of them did a full season, reminds me how I got all my trophies LOL

Look at the Darley Moor result I believe Luke only finished one place behind our own Garry Smith who was on his 996, not bad for a circuit with such a long back straight. He wasn't that far behind Craig Polden at Silverstone or Donington and Craig was a regular in the MRO finishing 3rd in the series.

This year Luke is racing an R1 and also the Reservoircogs Runt Racer in Earlystocks

domski 08-Mar-2006 21:15

Looking at the entries it looks like being a big old brawl for the podium!!

Is that your first excuse of the season then Dom?

I had a one off race last year at Thruxton and raced against Luke in the MT race.

I'm well impressed if that was his novice year, as my experience of starting racing was slightly different - being lapped at Snetterton - very embarrassing :D

Hang on, I just need to write that one down (will be useful for my second book!)

Yes.
