rider reps - questions for anyone that knows.

okie kokie,

riders reps.............

had a quick look but cant find much about it and cant be arsed to trawl through all the threads.

so as the season starts in just over 2 weeks can this be sorted. i know there was talk about it going in pronto etc but couldnt we just be given the candidates and then vote at the first race at cadwell.

its not likely anyone not in DD would be voted in anyway so there is no need for it to go in pronto. if any of the riders are unaware of the vote then they could put their names forward at cadwell.

simple quick and effective.

thoughts?

Dickie

At present and from within the series, the people who have foolishly put their names forward (in no particular order) are:

Class A
Ali Bisson
Tim Howard
Paul Payne
Tony Perrin

Class B
Dominic Clegg
Kevin Ellis
Paul Payne
Tonio Josserand

One Pronto gets out of the printers, we hope to finish this off quickly

That's just those who are racing correct?

So we have Weeksy to add to that list... anyone else??

I'm sure they wouldn't mind you saying, as they have put their name forward right?

Just gives us a bit more time to make a decision Chris - nothing dodgy.

Id like our 2 lads to vote for someone who will be at all the rounds:)

So if both classes voted for Paul Payne would there only be one riders rep on the RC :puzzled:

Al thanks for the support in your signature

Sensible maybe, but I see the role of the rep as being one that performs most of their activities between rounds, where they will be representing the views of individual, groups or all riders.

I will be concentrating too much on my racing during the race day to be presenting views to the RC. I can collate info, opinions etc, on race days, but if there's too much distraction from the racing, it won't happen on race days.

If my expectation of the role is incorrect, then I will withdraw. But I can't see any rider's rep who will be prepared to compromise their racing for the role.

As with all these things, there is a balance to be achieved, but if by me not going to Assen it is felt I cannot do the job as well as expected, then I won't put myself forward.

Best i mention at this point that my intention is not to go to Assen as funds will not allow, I have set a budget for this year in line with what I expect to be able to race a 583 for based on last years experience, hopefully this will mean I don't compromise the other club activities I take part in.
Obviously any large influx of monies could alter the situation, but I finished last year with less debt than I started it with which again is my intention this year.

Firstly I'm a Club racer, secondly a DSC member, thirdly a DD racer. Isn't it great how I can combine all three through one club.
