A favour needed please! Hi all Wondered if someone with a 749 measure it for me at its widest point,as i'm about to order a shed for it and need to know what width door to get! Also,(roughly) how 'wide' is its footprint once on the stand,ie does it lean over a lot? Thanks very much (in advance) |

Not much help but 999s:- max width - 730 (tip of brake to tip of clutch levers) length - 2095 but add say 75mm for licence plate overhang on its side stand - I'd say about 1000mm but need to measure. |
just been up the shed for a measure could not find the frigging tape anyhow bike was 700mm wide (my best guess) you would need 950mm when on side stand (again my best guess) sorry for guessing Mark |
:puzzled:I got mine through a std. front door, without taking the mirrors off:puzzled: |
Thanks for the help everyone. Just going to suggest to the wife about keeping it in the kitchen. I may be a while........ |
Not sure of the dimensions, but, I do know it leans over a long way on the side stand. Suggestion would be to store it on a stand ... paddock stand or abba stand or similar. My solution was to use an off cut of paving slab and slip that under the side stand to keep the bike much more upright and reduce the overall footprint of the bike. |
try this.. from ducati manual... |
thats a good 1 Brogins ! /ian |

When I bought my shed, I had double doors put on it so the gap is about 1.2m wide. Also when I said it was for a bike they said they would put extra supports under the floor so it doesn't bow from the bike's weight. |

Are you going to get a "bike garage" or shed made specifically for a bike? If so which one? If not is the shed that you are ordering on a web site somewhere? Just interested in which type of bike shed people have got as I might have to get one. |
Also,(roughly) how 'wide' is its footprint once on the stand,ie does it lean over a lot? On side stand lean from upright is approx 24cm or just over 9"inch |

Just a regular shed mate as my garden is 'open plan' so to speak, and i think a shed is more inconspicuous,as well as looking nicer. Im off to get it today so ill keep you updated. Nick |
well i've got a 7x5 shed and it fits in pefect, especially as it's narrow easier than my monster as i don't need to turn the bars in first! |
