Pretty impressive list, but surprised not to see replacement V piece with integral mesh cover to protect oil cooler - maybe just not on list? I want to replace mine ('04 999r) for this reason. Casoli do a nice one but modified to block the air intake/cooling duct to the rear pot to stop c--p/rain finding its way down there. Saw something about this a while ago on the board, but given your current project, wondered if you have any recommendations or are you leaving as standard?? |
Currently got a DP carbon V piece which looks nice, but, does not give additional protection. Saying that my bikes never see rain. May look at doing something with the V piece later on. One of these may be the answer ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1 As for my pockets they may be deep, but, they are very empty  [Edited on 25-3-2006 by Carbon749] |

Carbon Duke Saw your carbon creation today @ MotoRapido Nice job.....no, very very nice job !! shame I can't warrant a second one, otherwise I'd buy it Graham |

Already sold :( built it from scratch in 2003 and Ducati went and copied me in 2004 with the 749r  Time to move on and use a better foundation for the next one. I now have the right suspension, brakes and engine :D |
just lookin at your lead photo carbon , shouldnt you alredy have the mag headlight thingy ? thought they came with the "r" ace |
Quote:
Only standard on the 999r, 749r had the standard ally item :( |

Seen it, £275 at moment. My bike has carbon mirror supports as standard (very trick) and I bought a brand new magnesium headlight shell for less than £90 off a DSC member :D |

Mag headlamp surround is £139 new from Ducati how come the one on Ebay is £275 ?? |
Why the carbon seat unit? Didn't the R come with a carbon seat? |
