Breakdown Cover

Can anyone suggest which breakdown company to go with?

I don't ride vast distances and don't go outside the UK.

I'm with NCI at the moment but they have increased from £39 to £62.50.

Are they any good or is someone better?

I'm with this lot

not used them yet but they were by far the cheapest.

AA - if ur a dsc member get a discount too. Contact Butch he should have all the details

Ask your insurance company, most offer some sort of discounted break down cover. That or your bank account. I seem to have both my insurance and bank offering me free breakdown cover to try and keep my business. Bank gives me breakdown cover with AA for bikes and cars.

I'm with

http://www.motoringassist.com/

Covers me for the car and the bike (in fact any vehicle).

Is that right? How do I go about claiming a discount??

I've been with the AA for 13 years now - nothing but praise for them, I've lost count of the number of times they've rescued me, my car and my bikes

Cheers

I get mine free through Lloyds TSB

I am with Rescue 'U' Ltd. I got this through my insurance broker, Premium Choice. I think I negotiated that this was thrown in for free if I took out the Fully Comp policy.

I had occassion to use them on Monday. They contract out work I believe to local recovery companies. I had to wait about 2 hours to get collected - but this was at 4.30pm on a Monday in South West London.

When the driver arrived he was friendly, let me direct him to my home by the quickest route and then returned about 10 minutes after dropping me off because I'd left my rucksack in the van.

So, reasonably happy.
