crash bang ouch due to modern technology and at massive personal expense to myself i amble to speak to you from harlow hospital. this is followin a highside at a guiddy 20mph on my drz. the irony being i was touching 140 on the duke in the morning! ive broken my foot in 3 places & when they looked at the xrays they muttered somthing about smashed and might need pinning eek! whoever knocks the nhs i can say the nurses here are very good and are coping under very difficult circumstances if i wasnt wearing boots and armour, it would be a lot worse. my elbow would be smashed too. looks like a nice day out there, get out but make sure you got good gear on:burn: |
Speedy recovery mate, hope your hospital stay isn't to long and you can get back out and enjoy the weather even if it doesn't include riding a bike for a while |
ta kev they;ve just come round with some cruches & said i can go hm today. anyone need a sidecare passenger out there?:bouncy: |
*****, sorry to hear that mate ... once the pain subsides ... the 'other' pain appears when you realise you won't be in the saddle for a few weeks - take it easy & slowly. |
GWS hope you will back in the saddle soon |
russ, gutted for you! you want to stick to riding proper bikes at proper speeds ;) really hope it heels quick and you can get out and about again soon. did they say how long they thought it would take ? i stuck to sensible 150+ on the way back from finchingfield today (private road). keep in touch. |
:D How's the bike? :saint: |
Sorry to hear, speedy recovery. Looks like you need to practise them wheelies dickie!! |
|
Ouch, just as spring kicks in:( Maybe we can start a Xray pictures of our broken/pined bones thread:D Chris.:burn: |
all the best mate...speedy recovery ! |
Get well soon bud, Gus will miss your rear wheel antics otherwise |
thanks all, have loads of movement today, hope thats a good sign. apart from a worn away footpeg the drz was fine:lol: |
Speedy recovery mate, cant be easy with all them nurses running round for you seeing to your every need ;) |
shouldnt this thread be part of the "an accident waiting to happen" thread? "140 this morning . . . . blah blah blah" :bouncy: Khushy PS - get well soon! [Edited on 18-4-2006 by khushy] |
Riding experts like the IAM agree that speed and power alone doesn’t kill motorcyclists. Inappropriate speed in the wrong place, speed without judgement, or speed without ability, can and does kill. |
