Brands Hero of the day!

Great day (all be it a bit damp) at Brands. A brave bunch for sure racing in those conditions.

For me hero of the day has to go to Psychlist going back out in the second race after a massive off at Paddock Hill in race 1. Well done M8 that took some guts.

The way everyone around pitched in to get Paul's bike ready for race 2, just shows what a great club and series this is.

Well done to all.

I'll second that, Paul you are brave man and it was good to see the smile back on your face at the end of the day.

Thanks to everybody that came along to watch especially those on bikes, its great to have the support.
Well done to all those that finished on the podium today and got their trophies, it wasn't easy out there in those conditions and I should know as I can't remember the last time I had that many slides on tarmac.

And well done to all those that had a off and still went back out for more, hope you all don't ache to much tomorrow morning.

Kev

Well done Paul,we all know that "its going to hurt in the morning"but with the help of many good friends, you had the testicular fortitude to go for it again.Hats off mate.

Paul - you were an absolute star, I take my hat off to you Sir.

You proved that this club is built on the strength of character of the people who inhabit it and nothing else.

You're a good man :)

Bugger! I didn't even know about this!

Bad luck Paul, a very easy thing to have happen. It was SO goddamn slippery out there!

Rock on for having the balls to get out and do it again :D

bradders 23-Apr-2006 22:55

NBs996 23-Apr-2006 23:07

That was a pretty big crash in race 1, as they all tend to be at paddock.

Damn good show getting up, punching misfortune right in the throat, and putting together a solid ride in race 2.

Mark 23-Apr-2006 23:12

Paul. Respect.

phoenix n max 23-Apr-2006 23:26

Hope you are not too sore my friend - Gentle Hugs - You're a star :D

psychlist 23-Apr-2006 23:45

Thank you, all of you, as some of you will know, your words mean a lot to me, where is the "choked" smilie when you need it? :biaggi:

phoenix n max 23-Apr-2006 23:51

Just stop scaring everyone - Poor Monica - Max will be distraught you keep denting his GF - tut tut ;)

wilf 24-Apr-2006 00:01

It takes MUCH MUCH more than most riders will understand to get straight back on after an off like that, Paddock Hill (imo) is the hardest corner to go round fast after it has bitten you.

Most riders would have packed up the van and gone home, and would be tottaly justified doing so.

Mucho respecto for getting out in the second race, Proper Die hard racer.

Will nothing stop this man!?!?!?!

ps good luck tomorrow morning when it all starts getting sore :(

skidlids 24-Apr-2006 00:59

Hopefully Before repair and after repair pics of Monica will be appearing on the web before to long.
Scott from Reservoircogs will either post them here or on his own website

everton 24-Apr-2006 08:08

Yeah ... very, very well done Paul :)

webbyc 24-Apr-2006 08:13

Paul

Saw the off in race 1 and was extremely relieved to find you ok. It must have taken a hell of a lot of guts to go out again in those conditions, you are one brave man, much respect to you sir.

CK 24-Apr-2006 08:36

Paul - glad you did get up & going again.
As I said to you whilst yopu were sitting in your chair nursing your arm - there are only 3 options when you have had an off.
1. medi centre
2. pack up & go home
3. fix the damn bike & get flipping back out there!

sorry if I was a bit coarse yesterday - but the sit in the chair option wasnt the correct solution:P:P
Glad the lads set to & got Monica gravel free & fixed:D

C, noisy bottom kicker;);)

ps: AK says drop back his large can of WD, the internal throttle twist grip etc at the w/end if you like mate

Brent 24-Apr-2006 09:27

Paul, I couldn't be at the meeting, but sounds like you showed some true grit out there after meeting the gravel. Hope you're not too sore today.

Stu748R 24-Apr-2006 10:40

Anyway, you did want your engine cases sandblasted.......................

Redruth 24-Apr-2006 10:41

Hope you are not feeling too battered and bruised this morning, Paul. You certainly have got well and truly into the spirit of this DD racing, haven't you? I would just like to see you trying to be a teeny bit more careful and not keep throwing off the bike. ;);)

RD 24-Apr-2006 11:16

Ditto all of the above sentiments. Well done mate for having the gonads to participate in race 2 - WELL DONE :)

Richard.

Grib 24-Apr-2006 11:44

It was great to see everyone picthing in and getting Paul's bike sorted, it looked a right mess. Well done for getting back on again mate, looking forward to having a play next time out, hopefully in the dry instead! I have complete sympathy for your aches and pains, I'm a right cripple this morning....ouch! :sniff:

Thanks to all you sporting club people who turned up to cheers us on, that was great :D Hope you enjoyed the spectacle of many slipping, sliding Ducati's.

domski 24-Apr-2006 14:28
