it's not a stupid idea, it's probably equal to 30 bhp, I dont know, it's just a guess but it has to mount up with 6 gears to go through.
is yours for the road or track

Just fitted one to my 749R....Incredable just keep the throttle wide open and when the revs touch 11 just prod the lever :D

I found it easy to fit (JHP Quickshifter) just a couple of wires to cut and solder in new ones, bit of heat shrink and Bob's yer uncle. I spent a few hours laying it all out to get the neatest routing of everything but really enjoyed fitting it.

Thanks for the help lads. Its for the road
Got a local chap (Carl Harrisson) to find me one

Fitted one to my 916 from JHP, came 'plug and play' i.e. no soldering or wiring just plug in.

Works a treat.

Cheif are you using your bike on the road or track if on the road is it an improvement or is it a bit akward to use at lower revs?

chief 05-May-2006 18:23

boyo

Comes with a neat little switch that fits on the headlight unit (very 007) by which you can turn it on/off.

On the road it's a hoot........you can change pretty much anywhere in the rev range, but for the smoothest result you need to use 6-7,000 RPM and obviously above. Very well thought out set up this one, really neat wiring all heat shrunk in black with matching Ducati connnectors. I use the race shift lever so not soggy linkages.......the change is imperceptible just silky smooth power power power.....

:D

Thanks cheif i will be looking into getting one now sounds great fun.

spartacus 06-May-2006 11:31

are quick shifters/power shifters just for bikes that have had work done to them (exhaust, engine mods etc...) or are they also suitable for bikes that are largely standard?

pedro 06-May-2006 12:12

my dynojet quickshifter plugs straight into my power commander, easy as. you can also re-program how fast/slow you want the engine to cut when you change gear.

khushy 06-May-2006 12:14

a quickshifter is for ANYONE who wants to shift quickly!!!!

you cant get quicker than a quickshift shifter - try saying that a few times.
