\"V piece\" on track fairing?

Just fitting a Ricambi Weiss track fairing to the 888 and wondering what to do about the v piece behind the front wheel.

As it comes fitted with one on the road panels should I fit it to the track bodywork or is it alright to run without? Opinions?

The v-piece was an update for the 888. The 851 used the same fairing without a v-piece. so you can leave it out.

I am having a mould made for the V piece from my Racing.

I will be offering versions in Carbon fibre/fibreglass in due course if any are interested.

Cost will be sensible but reflect the cost of the mould .

Let me know if interested.

please let me know what the sensible cost is in carbon !

maybe a stupid question but will it be the same fit as for a 93 strada.
cheers,
Rob:puzzled:

sorry about that, case of the stutters.

I am afraid I have no idea on costings yet....my V piece is away at the moment with the mould maker.....waiting for a quote for the cost of the mould. I am going to ask that the cut out be left in so we can all cut out what we want for the various models.

I am not looking to make anything out of this ....just want to recoup the cost of the mould.

Will keep you advised !

Hi, I'm also interested in a carbon one.

The "92 851 strada came with a vee piece as standard, but without the cut out for the wheel to hit the front head. I haven't managed to hit it yet despite 14,000+ miles of trying!!

I just assumed you have kids and had got used to asking a question at least 3 times ( getting louder each time ) before you get a response from one of them:lol:

Trying to do to many things at once on the pc, was getting a bit slow, I was getting a bit impatient and and started tapping with the finger on the button.
cheers, cheers, cheers, oops.

Basic detail :

If you hope to correctly fit the "V" piece on your standard fairings, you're dreamers ...
Original lateral fairings panels on Racing are a bit different than Strada models. I'm not talking how to fix the "V" piece but be informed that the panel curve is different. It means that the association of both parts won't be correct ...

Up to you ...
