SPS Mono to Biposto conversion

I assume I will need to change to a Biposto subframe. Will it just bolt straight on?

bradders 13-May-2006 20:32

why would you want to :puzzled:

you'll only spoil it.....

dont know the answer tho.....

Carbon749 13-May-2006 20:32

To convert a Mono to BP you will need the steel subframe as it's designed to take the weight of 2 plus it has the lugs for rear foot pegs.

Being as the mono seat fits the BP subframe without modification I would assume that the seat units and subframes are all interchangable and will fit the frame OK.

think the only issue may be fitment of the p-thingy which holds your cpu brain

It will bolt straight on, but you will need to make brackets up for the cpu.

Is'nt there some issue with SPS wheels not being designed to take the weight of two people?:puzzled:

Jools 16-May-2006 11:31

Yes mate, I believe your right.

Also, won't the spring rate be wrong for two up stuff? With two people on it the back end will probably sag like Jo Brands arse

If your combined weight is less than 110 kg you will be OK, I was up to that at one stage :o :o . But seriously, when I bought my SPS the bike shop was converting a brand new one to Biposto and told me they were happy with the bike carrying 2 people.

bradders 16-May-2006 22:17

dare I say I'm over 110kg........:( :barfy:

not got any bent wheels yet ;)
