On the old message board the posts regularly refreshed on there own but this does not seem to happen on my work computer know.{the computer used to belong to Noah!]

Am i just thick or is there something i can do to make it happen

You click on the button with 2 little arrows having a go at each other :D

Griff 64 30-May-2006 16:37

Doh! i mean automatically without me having to keep pressing the refresh button

I'm not sure vBulletin has this feature, if it does, we'll get it lol

It doesn't, it requires a hack of a template with a preset refresh rate, it adds to server load though ....

I don't miss the auto-refresh feature that the XMB board had - the number of "Quick Replies" I had to re-type when the page I was on re-loaded was no one's business!

I'm getting used to the new format, looks good to me. Well done Webteam!

The answer is simple .......just click on "Today's Posts" again ......no big deal

Well if you're at the bleeding edge otherwise known as Firefox then I recall seeing an extension that will automatically refresh websites/pages of your choice. I think I shall have a look for it tonight. The missing auto-refesh I miss - the rest of the board is spot on. Well done team! :)

On a similar note on the old board I had the Todays posts page as a Favorite and it went straight there. If I bookmark the same page now it puts "DSC Message Board - Search Results" in my Favorites and goes to the search page instead. Any ideas?

Sorry I don't want to apear as a moaner but I am finding that I am quite often not able to get onto the board now as the "Server is busy - try again later" message comes up. Is this happening to other people?

IainMac 30-May-2006 19:32

Must admit I dont mourn the old auto refresh, in fact used to get right on my t*ts. The new board is giving me less problems than the old too, as that used to time out regularly .
Keep it up lads
Cheers

Seems the server died last night just after 10. Sorry it's taken until 8:30 for this to be noticed. I've re-booted the server, and all seems to be okay.

There are a few issues which need addressing, which will be actioned ASAP. Please bear with us, and enjoy the rest of the site. Has anyone noticed the news feed at the bottom of the fourm?

Best bit of the new site? For me I like the weather link, least i know I won't get wet playing golf today!

Mark.
