A Death near Castle Coombe

I just wonder if anyone going to Castle Coombe this week could spare a thought for my cousin Tom Mitchell. Last Wednesday evening he was killed whilst riding his Orange Kawasaki ZX10R, Some people in the Bristol area may have came across him whilst out and about and he was a regular at Abergavenny, (he was never one to shy away from the lime light).
He was travelling along the B4040 at Acton Turvill on a straight piece of road when it appears something went wrong with the back of the bike ie broken chain, tyre blow out etc. He had done a track day earlier and knowing Tom had pretty well cooked his tyres. What ever went wrong the result was that he left the road and ended up crashing through trees killing him instantly.
He was only 23, as is usual flowers and an Police accident board mark the spot.

You have my deepest sympathy mate. I know all too well the pain that is left after a tragic incident like this.

My condolences

So sad when it's someone so young.

I'd like to add my condolences. That is a tragic thing to hear about it. I bet he'd had a fantastic day, too. I hope his parents and the rest of your family are able to cope with this.

Best wishes
Ruth

So sad and so close to home for me living in Bristol. So young to im 25 and to hear of someone younger than me dying is terrible my thoughts are with his family and friends.

Makes you think how fragile you are on a bike and anything can happen.

Lee.

Rich sorry to hear about your cousin. Was that the same lad that turned up at Bristol Italia festival revving the guts out of the stubby exhausts?? If not sorry for the mix up. Thats a savage age to go, at least he went enjoying his passion.
