Rob B 09-Jun-2006 07:56

So that looks like our meeting spot is off. Any suggestions for an alternative or do we can it?

Rob B 09-Jun-2006 08:01

In a final effort to salvage thsi. Where are you all ridning in from, I'll try to work out a fairly central location.

I am near Poole on the South Coast, Natty is near Swindon

Rgds, Rob

Rob B 09-Jun-2006 08:50

Back up suggestion is JHP at Coventry. It's within a few miles of mid way between York and Bournemouth, approx 130mile each.

Yes/No??

nelly 09-Jun-2006 08:54

The 8th is a Saturday? If so, i'll be at work. Still on as planned then??

Rob B 09-Jun-2006 09:13

Thanks for the update. I know we had exhanged mails on the subject but I thought that things might have moved on since.

From EMA it's 4 junctions up the M1 then just off the A38 ( Jcn 28 )
Take you anything from 40 mins to 2 hours depending on traffic!!
Usually not too bad on a Saturday though

Douglas851 11-Jun-2006 00:17

Like to join you, but its a 450 mile round trip for me. A bit far for an hour or so before returning home.

A bit difficult to take on a airbus thats the only problem!!!!

Rob B 11-Jun-2006 15:32

Douglas,

My trip from Poole is going to be over 400 miles. Get on down......

RightSaidFred 12-Jun-2006 00:46

Yeah, it's over 400 for me too, you mincers...

FiscusFish 12-Jun-2006 17:12

Should be able to make it too.

TopiToo 12-Jun-2006 19:00

Hello

I will be riding up to Conerspeed as the bike needs a service, not sure how to get home yet Bus or Train?

need to get back to London

Rob B 13-Jun-2006 07:34

Easy ride on the train. Workmates used to do it when they had meetings in Notts area.

Rgds, Rob

Iconic944ss 14-Jun-2006 23:39

Could be a great reason to:

1) See lots of lovely 888 porn

2) Finally get to Cornerspeed and meet Nelly?

Have not even thought of timing and distance but would it be possible to make Oulton as well for the DD ???

Wow...thought I'd be laughed at but, its only 80 odd miles away...I feel a puny plan coming on

Frank

keith888 29-Jun-2006 10:05

I've just heard from the Police and I get the keep the 888. YES!!!! The woman has now admitted she bought it in 2000 with stolen money and she never actually filed a theft claim in 2001 as she claimed. Thus, a bit of frantic spanner twirling, polishing and MOTing and Taxing will see me at Cornerspeed on the 888 rather than the RG. See you all there!!

Keith

Douglas851 29-Jun-2006 10:28

I am also hoping to get to Cornerspeed on the 8th

450 miles is nothing on an 888.

If you do pillions, I'll leave the pillion seat cover off my bike on the way up there and give you a lift back on my 888 Strada.

I can take you back to a train station that's only 40 mins away from Kings Cross with trains that run every 15 mins, or, if I have time I'll go the extra 30-40 odd miles and give you a lift right home. Let me know, 'cos if you want a lift I'll have to take my hi-level cans off and put the pillion footpegs back on as well.

See y'all on Saturday 8th

Jools 29-Jun-2006 11:35

BTW...Did anyone mention what time we're aiming for ???

philthy 29-Jun-2006 13:48

Wondered that myself.... I'll start the ball rolling if you like.....12 o'clock?

Bye the way Jools if you've got a spare set of front footrests and brackets they can be used as temporary rear footrests. ( Well they can on the older 851 models ) They will bolt onto the back of the front footrest brackets so you can leave the high level pipes on.

Hello Jools

Blinkin hell mate thanks for the offer, I was looking at the train/bus situation
and there is a fast bus from Nottingham to Heathrow at 14.20 (3hrs)

But would mean I need to leave Nelly's early to get that bus.

Was thinking this would be easyer, as did not want to get back from Kings Cross wearing full leathers  in this heat.:(

But if you are going anywhere near West London, I'll jump on the bike.

Thanks again, what ever is easist for you.
