oulton park lap

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...14031&q=oulton

this is the best one iv seen so far i love this track my best parts are first five corners

Lily 13-Jun-2006 21:30

been there today and it's great :) :) :)

kye 14-Jun-2006 00:38

Dom how many times have you been before? Looks quite difficult to learn quickly so no doubt you'll no doubt be kicking my arse round there mate, I'll just have to try and cling onto you

Dominic Clegg 15-Jun-2006 19:09

done two track days there before i wouldnt say its real hard shell oil corner going to be real fun going up the hill hard and run into the last corners a bit funny as well as dear leap. but its a good ride and i think you all real like it

Redruth 15-Jun-2006 19:24

Looks like fun. Quite a long track. Is there fuel available at the track? Thinking track day as opposed to fully equipped DD racer day.

phil_h 15-Jun-2006 19:35

Not a bad vid, it just looks tame in a car though cos the camber changes and swoops through the chicanes and round blind bends are much more fun on a bike.

Lily 15-Jun-2006 19:41

they sometimes open the fuel pumps, but not really worth it for the money, there are two petrol stations within a few miles.

We will have fuel with us for track day so you should be ok

andyb 15-Jun-2006 21:01

Yeah, easy track to learn.......the toilets are at the start/finish end of the pit straight! ;-)

couchcommando 15-Jun-2006 21:28

Easy to learn ? Has more blind entry corners and ups and downs than most tracks. One of the hardest to learn in my opinion ! :)

Dominic Clegg 15-Jun-2006 22:53

its real not that bad once you know where they are and you can see them on the vid

Dominic Clegg 15-Jun-2006 23:00

thanks dom im putting enough pressure on myself as it is for this round. if i can run with the front guys ill be glad of that. but iv been trying to get hold of a track day before the event but no luck so im thinking of entering SOT or F400 to get my eye in and work out braking spots for my bike

domski 15-Jun-2006 23:04

skidlids 16-Jun-2006 13:06

I will turn up at Oulton to race on July 8th having not seen the track since 1998 when I did about 20 laps max and I understand they have added the odd chicane since then.
Does this mean I will have to follow Dom Cleggy around

Senna3 is doing one of the trackdays before the race meeting and he has Dallas going with him on his 996SPS.

I may have to watch the odd video between now and race day
Although I have entered both Classes which should give some extra track time.

I see there is an SV650 class, I wonder if we can enter that as I did at Cadwell. Must phone and ask. Otherwise it's SOT as well :)
