Sharpy G 14-Jun-2006 09:20

Ian......I ain't got 'em yet mate
but if/when I do you, will you be jealous............mmmmmmmm nice

Stu748R 14-Jun-2006 09:30

For the well heeled only........

iang 14-Jun-2006 09:31

Your just trying to outdo me by getting bits that I cannot get hold of !

Still Horrible though, they will look crap on your bike, much better on mine if they would fit my Gilles rearsets.

Really you got to have the Corse rearsets to match, only £550 !!!!

Sharpy G 14-Jun-2006 09:32

point me in the direction of those corse rearsets oh knowledgable one

andyriches 14-Jun-2006 09:57

Now Now Children !

andyb 14-Jun-2006 09:58

They will look rediculous with that std exhaust system...........Id get a proper exhaust first!....:D

Oh and whats that rust near your v cyl head bolts? And why no polished exhaust? :o

andyriches 14-Jun-2006 10:01

Andy, it would not suprise me if you buy a set of these, you got to have something to suprise me with !
Is the wife speaking to you yet ? I mean you must have expected it, who goes all the way to Ducati glasgow ( 3 hours ) for a service, comes back with a new bike double the price and expects their wife not to notice, you would not find me doing anything devious like that !!!

The rearsets that I had seen were the corse style DP rearsets and they are £525 at Motorapido but they will discount them to about £450 ish.

iang 14-Jun-2006 10:08

Andy, you better have a look in your DP catalouge, you may find that me and sharpy have the 'correct' 749R/999R rear hugger yours is the inferior version that is made for the less exclusive models !!!

andyriches 14-Jun-2006 10:09

No i'm still in the Dog House

And no I have no new sparkly bits

Sharpy G 14-Jun-2006 10:10

AndyRiches ....?? hugger, dunno, better ask Mr Bayliss, pic is of his bike LOL

iang 14-Jun-2006 10:16

Ha Ha, good one graham, we have the 'factory' huggers, Andy you better get Ducati Glasgow to change yours I think, he rang you yet with price for our little incident ?

andyb 14-Jun-2006 10:31

Those rearsets arnt the "corse" ones! Ive had a set of those. They are just a copy of the D/p ones!:D ...and sorry to say the ones i had wernt much good either! The lever pivot isnt bushed so it wears quickly and then the pedal wobbles!

Sharpy G 14-Jun-2006 10:40

Andyriches ? whats "the other hugger" ?
looked at mine here in myoffice waiting to be fitted and it deffo looks like the current factory Xerox/Airwaves etc one
G

andyriches 14-Jun-2006 10:48

Your in the office, should you not be working instead of dreaming about 749R's

If you look in the latest DP bible you will see the very latest :hot off the carbon press : slightly more protective and streamlined hugger than the older type of years past !

iang 14-Jun-2006 10:51

What a load of crap Andy, no wonder medicines are so expensive if this is all you do all shift, play on the computer !!

You got me that black 10mm or 11mm or is it 12mm bar/plastic/spacer thing yet ?

andyriches 14-Jun-2006 11:40

Sorry I coud'nt reply quickley but I actually got a machine to fix

Anyway I need the excact measurments to manufacture the spacers you require as my time is very valuble and any rework would be unacceptable

Regards Andy R
