My New 57mm Upgrade Kit Picture. 1 Attachment(s) Got my upgrade kit yesterday and been on all day polishing it, looking good. Now to fit it ( No Instructions ) the pipework is straightforward, it,s the bag of bits that concerns me ! |
Ian, would like to see it fitted, what kind of power increase are you looking at ? |
Hmm,might have to get me one of those! |
Very shiney :) |

don't worry if you get left with a few still can't work out where they are all supposed to go on mine and its been like that for a year and 4000 miles :) |
did a good job of polishing that!!! have you got a spare 10 mins for mine... |
Gizmo,Its the large alloy bracket that has me puzzled, the rest looks kind of straightforward! All I could think of what it is for is if you have the corse style carbon guard, we shall see. If it is raining tomorrow I will fit it, other than that it will be monday. Took me about 3/4 hours to polish, it is not perfect but you cannot see the bit under the belly pan with it being curves it was awkward to get into but the flattened pipe is like a mirror, should look good when it gets hot. |
yeah ! would look nice with the Corsa carbon heelguards eh ? |
Yes Graham it would !!!! |
nah nah na nah na ! |
tho' to be fair.......combination of both would be better ! |
Ian, can you post a pic of bracket ? take a look at these pics there is some kinda bracket above the (ahem...) lovely carbon heelguard......mmmm nice ![]() ![]() |
1 Attachment(s) Graham, the problem will be that the flattened pipe has a carbon guard on it similar to the normal guard on the assymetric system which would either get in the way of the Corse guards or if removed will leave the mounting brackets. See Nathans bike picture ( I think ?) I will take a picture of the bracket a little later.I have been informed by someone that it is a fairing mounting bracket but where it is meant to go I do not know ! The weather is not great here today (60% chance of rain ) and the roads are still damp so if it does not improve I will fit it today rather than go out. How do you include pictures on the thread now instead of thumbnails ? |
THose two vertical bolts you can see are the repositioning of the rear brake master cyl! That bracket you talk about in the kit is meant as a replacement osr lower fairing mount bracket. |
There is also a guy on Ebay that does nice highly polished stainless connecting springs as well. F |
57mm system 1 Attachment(s) the bracket is fitted under the rear brake master cylinder but also try a few spacers as the carbon fairing inner foam touches the rear down pipe |
1 Attachment(s) Fitted it ! |
looks very nice as per the other ones i have seen, have you noticed any change in sound over the standard race kit termis? |
It seems to sound a little bit crisper and more 'metallic' and has a deeper note. Not been out on it to test it properly yet. |
nice.....................I'm jealous now |

Thatll be where its running weak with the wrong fuelling! In all seriousness, you need to get your fuelling set up to your bike!:) |
Yes I do need to get a proper set up Andy, I did get a map for a full system but it was 54mm and as all Ducatis are slightly different I need my own set up. You dont happen to have a 57mm map for yours do you that I could try as it is going to be a while before I can get somewhere to get a personal set up as anywhere decent is about 3 hours away. I have read that the full system will give another 5bhp over the assymetric system, is this about right ?? |
Mine is Up about 5bhp without any fueling changes, but ive fitted a new fuel Adjuster with full time Lambda sensors and a self learning capability and it seems to be just getting better!! ill be getting it back on the dyno to read the results at the end of the week.. funny thing i found out yesterday is that at top speed 280kph/175mph the engine managment light comes on???? why ?? because at high air speed the cooling fans are pushed in reverse and act like generators sending power back up the line??? how crazy is that!! |
I thought that they looked like Lambda sensors in the two pipes in your picture. Is it a Dynojet fuel adjuster, does the sensors come with the kit and plug straight into the adjuster and where does it all wire to, is it the PC3 or the bikes loom. I presum it costs a fortune. |
The Fuel adjuster Ive got fitted is from the Firm wwwBeFaster.de in Hannover. They are developing the system with a firm in Au, works like a PC3usb but with more options, the most important one being self analising, and self adjusting (within given perameters )at the moment ive got the sensors fitted to both cylinders but after a short "set up" period to write individual cylinder maps, it should only need one. cost wise! not as much as yould think! about 450-500 euros |

i posted about having this prob a while back and remember you saying then! it had me a bit worried for while. |
Most 'race/track' bikes have them removed. Although i was told this then puts the dash light on, and it cant be turned off! |
Andy Riches, you know you want one, what you waiting for, go on, go on !! Although no you don,t then I will have to re-sell my link pipe that you were having. |
Ian it's RICHES Actually ! And YES I allready know I want one thank you very much |
Looks fantastic Ian, and all the carbon bling too! You jammy bastid! :D |
What do you mean Andy, it is Riches ? Hard night shift eh ? Got you a pressie for wednesday or thursday, guess !!! (No not a f****n 57mm system ) £13k Khu and its yours. LOL |
What did you use and how did you polish the pipes?? Looks great. |
Just bought a polishing kit that attaches to a drill, clamped the drill in a workmate vice then set it away and moved the pipework around the drill which I found to be much easier than trying to hold the drill and the pipework at the same time. Took about 4 hours in total to polish but by then I was getting sick so even though it is nice and shiny I could have gotten it even better. The kit cost about £15 uk. |
