Anyone own a Ducati 998?

Hi Guys.

Anyone have a 998 and wouldn't mind sparing me a minute or two of your time? I'm putting together the owners' opinions for next month's Buyers guide on the Ducati 998 for Bike magazine, and am looking for 2-3 owners to have a chat with.

Thanks all.

Felix,

As you can see there's a bit of a competition on between me and Mr BDG, despite his bike having a years head start he's only just ahead, 1cc and 3BHP makes ALL the difference:lol:

BDG,

Look the man asked for a 998 not one of them old fashioned 996r, just wait 'til someone needs one for Classic bike or Antiques roadshow:p

Mwah, Mwah,

Ray.

Everyone knows the 998R is the ultimate bike in the most loved shape ;)

:p

Rattler 21-Jun-2006 20:43

The 996R is a 998 - the 998R is a 999 - everyone knows that ;)

I've only bought mine a couple of weeks ago so I guess my comments would be a little bit limited but nonetheless well impressed so far.

When does the issue with the guide go on sale?

baylissboy 21-Jun-2006 22:37

I've got a 998S Bayliss rep & a 916SPS Foggy rep, i would be able to offer an opinion or two!!

spinoli1 22-Jun-2006 08:20

Hi,

Email for phone number if you want to talk - (I'm away from 25/6/06 to 4/7/06)

I love the question for the subject of this thread: "Does anyone own a Ducati 998?"

In a Ducati club. Hahaha! Yep, there's a few of them!

I've definitely had more yes responses than on the Honda forums

Cool, well thanks everyone, the guide will be in the issue on sale in August. Which is our Beauty themed issue, hence the inclusion on the 998.

If anyone feels they can give me a quick 50 words or so on their bike, and their details if they want them in too, even if you've had it two weeks!

my email is khal.harris@emap.com

Thanks all

(You all have lovely bikes)
