Bike Pick-Up or Van to Borrow

I've just bought myself another bike - don't tell the misses - and I need to pick it up. Unfortunately I haven't got a tow bar or trailer or a van, so does anyone know of anyone who picks up and delivers bikes or where I could borrow a van, there is the bike and some bits and pieces. It's for next saturday, 1st July, and the bike is in Hillingdon, Middlesex and I'm near Epsom in Surrey. Obviously I'm willing to pay market rates.

Madmav ??? didn't he do that a while back ?

chicken 22-Jun-2006 21:05

Depends on what bike it is.

Actually, I'm no help at all - I'm just curious as to what you got!

doogalman 22-Jun-2006 21:22

Is this a track bike or a non-runner?????

Thanks guys. I've bought myself a little screamer - 1992 Suzuki RGV250 - to have some fun on. Not cost much and only needs a fork seal to get the MOT. Intend to put into track spec and use on the road and track. Bring it on!!!

Cheers Ian H for the u2u

You'll be stopping for fuel more often than Mutters!!!

He did and still does, but he's in Germany and I don't think that he wou;d come back just to pick up a bike for me!!!!!!!

doogalman 22-Jun-2006 22:14

Is it rideable at the moment?? How about riding her back ???

webbyc 22-Jun-2006 22:16

She's rideable but I don't want to take the risk without MOT or tax!!!!!

doogalman 22-Jun-2006 22:26

Neither is endorsable!!!

webbyc 22-Jun-2006 22:29

But there's also some bits like spare fairing s etc. Bit difficult carrying those on the bike!!!

doogalman 22-Jun-2006 22:30

One drive , one ride....

I have tow bar fitted to my car, if you can blag a trailor I could give you a hand.
Hope to be out this sunday.
Off to donington wednesday eve, back the following monday mid-day so cannot help on those days.

JasonBoswell 22-Jun-2006 23:42

Chris, Ive a two-bike trailer (well, part ownership with Philc) and a car with tow-bar if you dont sort a van. the car is a hatch back with fold down seats, so you could get a few bits and bobs in there. If Phil isnt using the trailer its all yours...

webbyc 23-Jun-2006 05:07

Thanks again guys but I think that I've got something sorted with Ian H. I may come back to you though!!

Top little bikes. Nice one Chris!
Had a go on one of these 10 years ago and I can still smell the fumes....

Whilst I don't have a trailor, my car is an estate tank so you could get a few bits in there too, but it sounds like you've got it sorted.
The offer is there anyway.

Webby, if you get stuck, have room in van to collect bike for you mate, or 3 bikes if you like.
Sorry for late response, but have been off line for 2 days:lol:
