Any ideas on what this is??? 1 Attachment(s) just found it resting on the engine underneath airbox whilst cleaning the duke:o |
I think it's a Dutch Cap. Didn't know they made them in black, though  (Thought you'd appreciate a response, however stupid ... I'm sorry, I'll get my coat) |
It's a hand  ...with something unidentifiable in it ;) :D |

1 Attachment(s) Very funny you guys, but it still doesn't answer my question! Maybe this helps 672.1.030.1a is printed on the inside with ducati insignia underneath |
Why not look for a hole about the same size as that bit of plastic - then you know what it is ;) |
think its out of the air box!! |
Put it on e-bay as an authentic Ducati part from (model of your bike) and flog it. Problem solved. Ignorance is bliss. I should know, I'm the expert! |
It's one of these : ![]() |

It fits on the left hand side of the airbox at the bottom so you can get to the balance adjustment on the throttle bodies |
its got no holes to a fix any where has it ...may have been left ther when it was asembled at the factory ????? |

Only a hole the same size as that bit of rubber on the left hand side of the airbox:lol: |
I know as I have one as well, it's a cover that is put on the engine when it a subassembly in the factery, it is to stop bits falling in the airbox. It should of been removed when they put the engine into the frame. mine was in the airbox for 2000 miles not good but I was lucky. |

Thats a clever thing to do -remove a factory fitted part and bypass the air filters by leaving a big hole in the side of the airbox:o have a look at any 749/999 and it will have the bung fitted Attachment 518 Attachment 519 |
