So what's it going to take to win?

This is looking like a pretty good contender for the Monster category (Marchesini's bike)

Simon just has too many bikes...

Simons bike is stunning - even better close up too.
P.s my daughter wants that bike for when she passes her test !!!! :D

As ever "you've got to be in it to win it"!!

Cheesy I know but we need your entries!

In my time at events etc I've seen some simple but beautiful bikes, some trick/awesome specials, a whole mix.

I think the US Monster competition proved that it's not always the most expensive that wins - so, if your Ducati is special, or you know one that is, get them entered!

Cheers

Tim

AK is hoping to give some time to refurbishing his tri-colour after this weekend, as 2 & a half years of commuting & weekend riding has taken its toll a little:o

Expect a couple of snaps in a while Mr M:)

i can't imagine what bike would beat that top one... Jesus that's impressive.

Dave G 27-Jun-2006 12:54

Its impressive only because the maker had a theme in mind and the budget to back it up,but I think its the idea behind the bling thats meant to count.
Just lobbing on as much of the DP catalogue as you can afford isnt the point, though i'm sure it'll help. I've seen some of the past bikes where most of the excess has been dumped leaving very stripped down looking bikes, these look really good and the main resource behind them has been someones time rather than money.
I'd consider entering myself but dont think what I've got in mind for my bike would be ready in time, maybe next year though;)

Well done, you've certainly put a fair bit of time and effort into getting it done - and from what I hear and the photo's I've seen it's a top job.

Simons bike wasnt meant to cost what it did but he followed it through as the first designs show. Fact is it got better as it went along and expensive as things were adapted like exhausts. Not cheap to employ someone to cut and weld your cans. It is truly beautiful and I followed its path with much interest and was privalaged to see its first outing when he came out to our meet. The bike brought much attention. It is still very simple and much of the look is the colour scheme. The aggressiveness of the alien front end should be noted by DUCATI for the future. It is worthy of taking the prize just for the effort put in.
