This looked trick enough at Fox's yesterday

doogalman 29-Aug-2006 15:52

A tad ott on the radial brakes!!

Loz 29-Aug-2006 15:59

Must admit. I didn't notice the brakes here. Yikes.

I wonder when the first model will come out that has pots the whole way around the disc?

doogalman 29-Aug-2006 20:18

Probably easier to just have a stick that goes thru the wheel stopping it dead.

doogalman 29-Aug-2006 20:19

Out of interest ,whats the top photo? is it a DD racer? Or what?

skidlids 29-Aug-2006 20:53

top photo is a 916 style model with a ex Hizzy 955 motor in it, it now has to live outside as the 998R is now in the conservatory and the 996 Corse is in the garage (Until Thursday when it will head down to pembrey in the back of a van)

Interesting. How will the 2into1 effect the power delivery?
Very GP7

Not as much as the Noise from it will effect your ears. The can is a cut down and gutted SS item, just the sort of thing to bring to the BMF for a sound off competition.

rcgbob44 29-Aug-2006 22:31

Bet its not as loud as my old Honda 50 with the baffle removed, it used to do 115 up hill into a head wind.....................................if I remember rightly!!!!

Carbon749 08-Sep-2006 21:17

My mate did a GP style set up on his 999s .... single can under the seat for the back cylinder and a small can in the belly pan with a pipe exiting under your right foot for the front cylinder.

Sounded awesome.

Did a track day at Donnington with it. He went out in the first group and they were told to do a spotting lap and stop on the grid for a team photo. As he pulled up he was "removed" from the track. He was let out later on and did one more lap before being pulled in. No more track time and no refund.

That was an expensive 2 laps of Donnington

Yep done for looks without any real thought to where you could ride with it, but it does look cool in the metal

Here's a pic of my Multi just before the cans were slipped on.Looks kinda like an early Moto GP system.
Now that was loud!
Second pic is a ZZR thingy spotted at the recent Valencia GP.

We've had them like that on our 747's and A340's for years...and carbon discs..!
