Sepang Free Practice

OK it's lunch time and I can't believe no one has posted about Sepang Free Practice yet........

Capirossi fastest by almost a full half second! OK, so it's only Free Practice, but seriously after his win last week and in Malaysia last year, I'm really looking forward to the race.

Are the Bridgestones that much stronger at Sepang?

According to the BBC website, Pedrosa was quickest for some time, then had a 'nasty off'... might even be doubtful for the race...

If you have the subscription service to the MotoGP website then there's an awesome clip of this. Pedrosa is litterally thrown through the air. He is up and walking directly after though.

Don't have the subscription service - any way of saving the clip and posting/emailing?

I watched the Pedrosa clip on Eurosport yesterday. From the on-board camera veiw, he appeared to clip his knee on the kerb and then get shot off the bike like a cannonball. It was surreal.
That had to hurt :(

Unfortunately they're cleverer than that. There's no straightforward way of downloading the clips from the MotoGP website.

I'm sure there is a way of capturing streaming video but all I've been able to figure out so far is that they use a company called Akamai for their video hosting. We use these same guys at work and they are always touting their "security features."

The Capi was aweson, just been watching the session on Eurosport. If all goes well, no one is going to touch him again.

antonye 08-Sep-2006 16:46

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

mbracing748 08-Sep-2006 16:48

Fly and be freeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Loz 08-Sep-2006 16:58

Jeez, he's really going overboard on that counter-steering thing! :o
;)

MJS 09-Sep-2006 07:37

Holy Mothers - the boy's flying...!

KeefyB 09-Sep-2006 08:34

What a differance a day makes,....qualifying delayed for an hour and 40 minutes due to heavy rain.

Fordie 09-Sep-2006 08:41

Think the hydrogen should of went in the tank, not drunk it dueing a session!

Smurf 09-Sep-2006 09:26

Final practice has bin cancelled, couldn't stop a torrent of water running across the track on one corner. Tomorrow's grid now an aggregate of all qualifiers; Rossi on pole, then Hayden, then Capirossi. Eurosport showing Hockey instead, I'm so glad I got up early!!

Yesterday I was thinking 'at least this won't be a wet race'. How wrong can you be? Is this the monsoon season in Malaysia?

I saw Pedrosa's off from the on board camera yesterday. Unbelievable that he actually got up and walked away and seemed to be moving his head around as though he had a stiff neck, nothing more. Then Randy said he was having stitches in his knee. Is he fit to ride?

Glad I didn't get up early this morning to watch this morning. Will be tomorrow though :)

TV came on automatically to be dissapointed, then snoozed till I was woke again to end up watching nowt, topped of with the sights of Hayden being up the sharp end. What a miserable way to start my day.
I was hoping Loris and Vale could claw big points back, to add more tension to an already amazing season, could be harder if Hayden stays with them tomorrow.

It is the start of the monsoon season here. Transition time until November, so weather can be unpredictable. There has been a lot of rain in the afternoons recently and local predictions say it will probably be a wet race. You really can't be sure though.
