More interesting silly season gossip ...

Read all about it here

I cannot believe that Yamaha have axed Andrew Pitt after the results he's had and currently lying 4th in the championship! Unbelievable! But then they were going to get rid of him last year too and I was suprised then.

And Assen winner Chris Walker has been axed too!!!! Leading Kawasaki and they've dumped him.

WTF is going on!!!

This is one pet hate of mine. Uk talent ain't got a chance .
They should try kicking a bladder of air for 90 min and faking injuries, they'd all be multi millionaires then:devil:

UK industry needs to get behind riders if they're going to be successful I think. For some reason Aussie's have always seemed to get by without it, I don't know why.

Was Corser and Haga in the same Red-Bull team when in 500's???
I so want Foogy's team to clinch a big money sponsor, some good riders are still available, promise of full factory dukes, a slick team fronted by Jack Valentine. What more do the potential sponsors want before they sign the ef'in cheque??

Corser's GP effort:

Unfortunately, there were problems with sponsorship and contracts, not helped when the team collapsed and was rescued by Red Bull and WCM. In the seven races Troy took part in, he got points in four, with twelfth his best finish. This meant eleven points and 23rd in the championship

Oh well just goes to show that my memory is going along with my marbles.:o :o

Latest rumour: Biaggi has turned his back on Alstare Suzuki and is going to Kawasaki In Moto GP!!!

TP 08-Oct-2006 11:05

Yes!

Francis Batta must be SPEWING! After giving Corser permission to talk to other teams with the Biaggi news and now Corser's gone to Yamaha Francis has an empty seat!

Will Barros take it? Perhaps Pitt? Or Hodgson?

Who will be in Lanzi's seat? Barros and Hodgson also linked there ...

And funny news about Bayliss - apparently he got pretty smashed on Sunday after his championship win and fell over cutting his face. Toseland apparently cleaned him up and put him to bed in Bayliss' motorhome :D

Smurf 08-Oct-2006 12:25

Barros has been linked with Ten Kate Honda, but insists on taking his own suspension tech, engineer, catering staff, cat , dog, hamster and god knows who else.
Hodgson talking with JT & Roger Burnett at Magny Cours??
Francis Batta last seen cutting an enormous slice of humble pie while crying over a large puddle of spilt milk.......................

Although to be fair to him, apparently it wasn't him who wanted Biaggi in and he wanted to keep Corser. Him and Corser go way back.

Smurf 08-Oct-2006 14:23

Yup, straight from the top apparently, the staff at Suzuki have obviously been on the rice wine!! A strange decision that may well come back to haunt them methinks!!

More developments on the Biaggi rumours ...

This from Patricia Batta, also courtesy of crash.net:

Quote:

Rumours have been circulating the paddock regarding Max Biaggi allegedly moving to Moto GP with Kawasaki. Patricia Batta quashed those rumours saying that Biaggi has signed with them at Alstare and it is a done deal.

I wonder if there will be a battle between green and yellow :)

Smurf 08-Oct-2006 18:04

Wondered why Hodgy was hangin round:

http://www.sportinglife.com/others/n...O_Hodgson.html

Ray 09-Oct-2006 09:29

Hmmmmmm, the Whit reckoned he Hodgy and Foggy were out for dinner at Magny Cours and got on like a house on fire........then when foggy sobered up he denied he'd said anything nice about Hodgy at all:lol:

The silly season is almost as good fun as the racing............

I guess all the guff keeps the teams in the news when there's no racing and keeps the sponsors happy.

Ray.
