Could'nt agree more Phil well said. |
yep was a really great weekends racing. ditto everything you said. have to say i liked it being a 'two-dayer' of sorts. really great atmosphere all weekend. |
What's that brown stuff on your nose Phil? :p Just kidding!!! I heard it was a great weekend, just sorry I couldn't make it. Another great season of racing completed for the year, and I for one am really looking forward to next year! |

Couldn't agree more - it was a great weekend - the game moves on, new records, new riders, new trophies!!, fantastic - is it March yet? ;) |
If you lot could stop getting faster year on year I'd really appreciate it, thanks ;) It was a great end to the season, DD is a fantastic series. |
[quote=Grib]If you lot could stop getting faster year on year I'd really appreciate it, thanks ;) QUOTE] i think that is the one thing that has really struck me this year. the huge improvement in riding, not only in laps time but also race craft, while still be very novice friendly. i honestly dont think there is any other series out there quite like it. next year really will be a belter. |
Went the first ever DD meet in 2005 and wow the series has come a long way since then , the Superclub meet at Cadwell was on a different level. The presentation of all the bikes and the paddock set ups, should make all involved proud. On the day well done to Clogger, (no 46) an ambition achieved with the result this weekend, a nice touch to pick up the case of wine courtesey of Ian. The racing was good, I really thought there was gonna be a race long battle for the overall honours in race 1, but Domski, put his marker down for next year with two good wins. I suspect Phil is gonna come back even faster next year though. I hope the prize scooter responds to tuning!! Kyle and Phil in a mega close battle for second, Any relation to Luke Hinton? Battles all down the field, except maybe for Lord R who has his staff clear a space in front and behind:eek: The rest of the racing on Sunday saw a lot of red flags early on so I hope everyone is OK or recovering. The Superkarts were missiles with the European champion, the GP plate holder all on track. It was nice to see so many DSCers supporting the series, the BHCN crew who probably rack up the most collective mileage of any region as wel as Lisa, Ian (Dseered), loads more, and even Old Yella. Thanks for the priveledge of handing out the trophies, I hope my ugly mug hasn’t spoilt the piccys too much, I guess ya can always photoshop Troy Bayliss, Vale, or Suzy Perry in as appropriate!:D Junior managed to last all day with just two trips the Café, he thinks I ought to do my hair like CK:eek: He was exhausted from all the flag waving so luckily was asleep during my discussions with the police dog handler about how fast I was going on the way home, apparently the dog barks once for every 10 MPH over the limit, no ticket though despite Fang going mental. Thanks for a great day out,:) Ray. |
The Superkarts were incredible, back it in, drift it round, spin the wheels out, fantastic :D Can we organise a day in a load of those? please! :D |

Ray, I'm sure it would suit you better than me!:o :p   |
As we were driving away from Cadwell on Sunday having spent the last few hours packing the van up to the gunnells with the two race bikes plus the newly aquired Scooter the camping kit and all the rest that goes with it we passed comment dispit all the hard work involved with and that knacked feeling at the end of the day its worth it, for all the above comments from Fil2 I bet every one of those that were at Cadwell went home with a feeling of satisfaction whether there were there to race or there to watch It does feel special to be involved with not only the DD but the DSC for one would not be with out the other. I was not the only proud father watching there son or daughter blat round a race track there were many other from within the DSC "family" there. How good is it to see your Regional members turn up and be able to get them a few free tickets donated by the DD riders, have a beer ready for em,get a bit of parking sorted out. How good is it to have freinds come and stay and join in the commeraderie and share the atmospere of the paddock How good is it to see the battles on the track then hear the banter after wards. How good is it to help get a bike back on track and see the smile of the face of the rider knowing alls well. How good is it to see admoration and respect to one another. It looks like the table has been set for next year, the menu looks good, there may be a few burnt bits on the edge of the pie as there allways it but that does'nt make the pie less tasty.I would like to congratulate all the members of the DSC DD on making this a remarkable series. By all accounts ever one is now looking forwards to the DSC Dinner and Tango which is one event 4D is not going to miss. Ill see you there. Regards 4D |

So where's Kelly's report?! How did she get on? I'm curious because I followed her for a while at the Cadwell track days and a few of us who were instructing were thinking she'd go quite well and surprise a few people? Were we right? |
Yup great weekend :) |
Im hoping Kelly will come on and tell us, but --- Kelly was cool as the prevurbrial cucumber it was me crapping me self. I think Kelly went out to test the water primerally, did a 1.59 to quallify and looked good especially through Halls, nice and smooth (bit like the old man  ) Reckon the times will increase as the race experiance goes on . KKKeeellly you turn |
Awesome racing!!.... 'WELL DONE KELLY' you rock!! & big thanks 2 all the troopers from the 4D/OD2 camp... stroll on March!!!! |

I'll have a look, thanks :) I've been on www.homeofpoi.com and reading some stuff. I just need to get my own set sorted out so I can get in the back garden and practice ... you know, smack myself in the face a few more times, got myself a beauty in the nuts in Egypt, had to sit down for a bit! ooh! |
Quote:
I know you're from Down Under, but are you turning???? |
Quote:
Turning?! Errr ... spinning is the correct term I believe my good man, have one of your manservants look it up for you ;) I know it's a Maori thing but it's cool :D and strangely therapeutic! Apart from when you smack yourself with them! |
Spills All hands on Deck for people who had little spills...!! Obviously my face doesn't fit. Needed a brake lever after a Sunday first race off. Kev Mooney, who also had a spill was the only one who asked how I was and could I sort it for race 2. Not possible in the time we had left!! So a huge thanks to Kev and his Gang who have been a huge help all year and great fun to drink with. And Mike 'n' Lizzie who took time out every meeting to wish well. Rest of you!!!! Too many politics and patting yourselves on the back. Enjoyed what I did of the racing. |
Quote:
no one came to us for a lever as I carry one and would have leant it out, didn't even know you had crashed ? |
No one asked me for a lever... I had 2 spares that I'd've let you have for nufink! p.s. how are you after your off? |
Quote:
think thats a bit harsh. to my mind most people would bend over backwards to help other riders, take chris woods bike, there must have been at least 6 people looking at it and trying to sort it. not a question of face not fitting im sure but maybe people weren't aware of your situation. im sure you would have got the help needed if they had known. hope you're ok. |
Quote:
Yeah, it's alright I suppose ;) :D The racing has always been great - it's the politics that are shocking!! |
Quote:
It must be our faces that don't fit coz you never asked anybody at od2, we would have helped we never turn anybody away & we carry most bits to repair crash damage, so if you don't ask you don't get,& don't make sweeping comments with no substance. |
Quote:
exactly ...!! Fordie/Chass/AK all have helped anyone that has needed it...!!...... Ask next time dude and you will recieve.!.............. |
Quote:
ok. please can someone help me find about 4 seconds. i'll put a sticker on me bike if you do. |
Quote:
What sort of sticker? One of Antonye's stickers? :D |
Find me 10 seconds and I'll paint myself AND the bike in whatever sponsor colours you want for the season :D |
Quote:
You can have four of mine if you like??? A fantastic weekend, thoroughly enjoyed despite two shocking qualifying performances, roll on March! |
lent out bits to fast fazulli and even me;) this weekend, and still need to grab back bits off murray & butch - good excuse to meet up then:D ta DP for returning a lever yesterday would have happily lent out bits if you had asked me, MLC Racing:) |
Quote:
   |
Quote:
I've run out of those stickers now, but I had a good laugh when I spotted that Fil2's *new* bike still had the sticker on there from the previous owner! |
So you're responsible for the semi naked lady stickers! I couldn't take it off ex #8 as I was told she was lady luck and I couldn't risk jinxing it :p |
Quote:
I'm not saying anything  |
