Today's Posts - New Menu Option

Following a number of requests to be able to select inclusion or exclusion of DesmoDue topics, the Today's Posts button now offers you the choice of whether to include the DD forum or not.

For those of you who prefer to set up Favourites/Bookmarks in your browser use the following links:

To see all entries use
http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/se...hp?do=getdaily

To see all entries except DesmoDue use
http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/se...ly&exclude=107

Many thanks to Frank for researching this option that I hope will keep everyone happy :)

Oh yeh !! - whoever would have thought it!!! ;)

everton 11-Oct-2006 09:19

Great stuff ... what a relief. But I'm still getting posts from DDers in non-DD threads, is that where you use the exclude user function?

Dave G 11-Oct-2006 09:29

Thanks guys,I was beginning to give up on this site.
DD may be run by the Dsc but DD is not the whole Dsc and the site was being swamped and looking like a forum that dealt with DD as its main function.
Maybe one day I'll get along to one of these races(unlikely as I'm in Scotland and they'd rather go abroad than come here) but in the meantime not having to watch their daily outpourings is a great relief.:D

Great new option. I always view all posts anyway despite all the bitching and problems.

Is it possible to have it changed slightly so that if you always want to have all posts or only non DD ones that the option can be saved in your profile to save having to click todays posts and then the option you want. I know it is only an extra click but it could become a pain after a while!

Iconic944ss 11-Oct-2006 11:25

Ozz - there's no easy way to enable a non-DD view as a user option at present.

The method I'm using is simply to create a bookmark or link (in internet explorer) and use the second url shown by Eamonn in the very first post above.

You WONT be able to drag the link from your browser bar into your link bar to create the shortcut - you need to create the link and paste as mentioned.

I'll look into creating the bookmarks as well

Cheers - Frank

Great add on Webteam...good work.

As mentioned by others...I enjoy reading the DD 'rants'...it makes me giggle that 'grown-ups' can get so carried away with such trivial matters. Clearly tooo much time on their hands. Its like a daily soap opera.

However, I can also apprectiate that some people were finding it all a little too much and are actually not visiting the site as much or in some cases not at all due to the amount of BS flying around related to DD.

So now to have the option is a good thing.

Well done webteam.

doogalman 11-Oct-2006 12:29

Great idea. I for one am not that interested in the daily soap that is DD. I can watch Eastenders if i want to be dragged into the gloom.

keefer 11-Oct-2006 12:34

Nice one

Iconic944ss 11-Oct-2006 13:17

Please keep the thread - 'ON Topic' if possible.

If you have questions or comments on being able to choose the options of todays posts delivery then please post them.

Otherwise - please use the relavent forum or medium.

Well done

I think that's a good, simple solution to meet the requests of those DSC members who don't want to see the DD stuff.

I do want to see it so I'm happy too. :)

Henners - you have a PM

philthy 11-Oct-2006 14:14

Great idea, that should keep everybody happy :D ........oh no it won't:devil: ........oh yes it will:D .......oh no it wont:devil: ..etc . etc.;)

doogalman 11-Oct-2006 18:00

Still off-topic.

Well done, its a great option, if I feel the need to top up on childish squabbles and the kids are away I can always read the dd version.

Rushjob 12-Oct-2006 21:21

Thank goodness for that... I nearly joined the DOC instead!
In all seriousness though, I'm finding this board less and less interesting to visit in recent months.
