They use dishwasher!!!!!!!

1 Attachment(s)
Hi DSC,

Back from Estoril now!!!
The greatest time in my life! I can't describe how I'm still feeling! Saturday and Sunday there, I watched the qualifying and the race. I purchased two tickets. Grandstand A to watch the start and grandstand E to watch the corners.

Then I ran to the paddocks and thanks forever to that lovely English promoter who gave me his pass, I started my two missions 'go to the Ducati stand and look at Valentino's bottom as close as possible'.

After a sexist start with the Ducati team who did not want to believe I have a 999, I then showed them the picture. They asked smiling 'Can you touch the ground?'. I said 'Can Loris do it?'.
You know what, my lovely 999 opened the doors and here I am, look at the attached picture, touching Loris's baby.

I spent an hour with them while they were dismantling and washing Gibernau's bike.

A guy comes with Sete's rear brake with included rear brake fluid container and gear pedal and deep down in Shell cleaner. OK so far.

Then he takes my mother's dishwasher, a popular brand called Svelto. I think ok he's washing his hands.
Dishwasher, water, bucket and deep down Sete's rear brake and gear pedal.

Me, still holding my breath, 'mmmm, excuse me, are you really washing Sete's bike in my mother's dishwasher?'
Him 'If your mother washes her dishes, why can't I wash Sete's bike with it?'
Me 'I understand, but, you know, if I had known that before, I would have saved a lot of money in expensive bike cleaners?'
The guy looks at my astonished face and worried says 'You must trust me, if we do it, you can do it'
I said 'Man I trust you, God knows how much I trust you, it's just that I'm amazed!'

Loris was there, chatting with his wife. He has beautiful eyes, a small guy. I did not say anything to him, I did not want to be the usual annoying fan.

Everybody is small there.

The yellows finally came out. The Yamaha stand was next to the Ducati stand.
Colin small!!!
Vale small, but I love his bottom!!!

Men, I have a future on bikes then. The problem is that I have nobody to hold and park my bike.

Hot news. The Ducati guys said that Hayden and Pedrosa had a proper fight back to the paddocks.

Other hot news. I saw the Ducati 800cc for next year MotoGP. Only the body, no wheels attached. I can't say anything though, I promised I would not.

I want to go to Valencia. Who's coming?

...the greatest time in my life. Sometimes I wish I could do on my bike only a tiny fraction of what these amazing guys do...

KeefyB 17-Oct-2006 06:11

Great report,nice one.
I just knew Hayden and Pedrosa would come to blows.Hayden was steaming!!
My tickets for Valencia turned up saturday,so I'll be there.:D

doogalman 17-Oct-2006 06:27

Excellant , so pleased you had a great time, now for the real riding gods!!!
Surrey oficial ride-out 22nd Oct
Well that time has come around again. A chance to enjoy riding your bike and to meet some faces.
We are having a 09.30am meet at Box Hill for a 10.00am leave. Then we will head off for a bit of a jaunt. However due to the slightly later start our belly's will be groaning so we will stop en-route for Full English intermission, if the masses want.
Then swing round to finish back at Box for a natter before we head home.
So! who's up for it?
Be good for you to meet everyone, or viceaversa. you could check everyones bums out!

NBs996 17-Oct-2006 08:17

Well it's no longer his bike and with a bit of luck he will retire!

SETE GIBERNAU FORCED TO MISS VALENCIA

The small operation the Spanish rider underwent yesterday went according to plan but Gibernau will not be able to take part in the final race of the season.

In last Sunday's crash at the Grande Premio de Portugal, Ducati MotoGP Team rider Sete Gibernau fractured the fifth metacarpal bone in his right hand and again damaged the collarbone he had already fractured in June.

Gibernau left Portugal immediately after the race to go to Madrid's San José hospital, where he underwent a new kind of medical treatment, which has been in use over the last two months in Spain, and which has now for the first time ever been applied to a professional sportsman. The treatment consists of the extraction of stem cells from the patient and their subsequent injection into the affected areas. In this case the cells were applied to the hand and the collarbone.

The operation, which lasted less than an hour, was carried out by Dr. Ángel Villamor. "The results obtained with this technique on patients with weakened bones and repeated fractures have so far been very satisfactory. For this reason we decided to apply it to Sete Gibernau: the fact that one of the two plates inserted in his collarbone had given way gave rise to fears that the bone was not strong enough. The operation, which avoids the immobilization of the traumatized limb, went well. Hopefully within a month or so we can confirm the complete efficiency of the treatment applied to Sete and he can return to his normal sporting activity."

The rider, who left hospital today, now requires a period of rest which will rule him out of the final GP of the 2006 season. In the next few days Ducati Corse will decide whether or not to replace him and, if so, the name of the rider who will stand in for him at the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana.

In the meantime two days of tests for the Ducati MotoGP team have concluded at the Estoril circuit after being affected by changeable weather. Loris Capirossi and Vittoriano Guareschi managed to take advantage of every moment of available track time to continue development work on the Desmosedici GP7.

vaconver 18-Oct-2006 00:11

I spoke to Guareschi, I was looking for fun laps and he's the guy taking people around for fun laps.
He said there was a Philip Morris competition yesterday the 16th in Estoril. The winners were going out with him on the track.

I'll find out if there's something similar in place for Valencia.
I want to road test my leathers!

KeefyB,
I have got the ticket for Valencia. I'm in West Blue. Which ticket do you have?
Also which hotel are you staying in?

NBs996,
I would love to write something for Pronto. Give me some time though.
I'm in the middle of moving house this week and will be without Internet for a couple of weeks, will start a new job next Monday and pack for Valencia on the 27th. So busy time. Back from Valencia, when settled, I'll sort something.

Gaz 748,
I'll see if I like you more than Vale.

Doogalman,
the rideout is back early morning. See you then for the drinks.

Some things in life should be regular, if it helps him go to the loo then just let him get his stuff out.

Your all on the wrong bikes anyway should be an ST4S.

Why is that Jeff???:o

jeff st4s 18-Oct-2006 16:01

Because it's a proper, sensible, old man's bike and that's what most of the DSC is made up of, your not 20 year old 6 packs giving it large in the hip thrusting division, even though Gaz still thinks his Elvis hip shake is going to wow some lady at the weekend.
